Throwing the deuces
It's been awhile, but I think it was a year.
It wasn't to straighten the teeth, it was because my top jaw was more narrow than my bottom. It did fix that.
I did have to get braces after that...well, I was supposed to. Luckily, all I had to do was get 4 teeth pulled (at once), and it made enough room for the incoming teeth, and they all came in straight, so I didn't HAVE to get braces.
I'm hoping that will happen with my oldest. Both my boys need the expanders to widen their top jaw but my oldest may need braces too. I'm hoping that pulling some teeth will let the other teeth come in and help push other teeth together and he won't need braces or at least not for very long. He will probably have to wear two types of expanders before they can determine if he'll need braces. My youngest just needs his top jaw widen and some teeth pulled to avoid over-crowding.
