Driver stupidity...

What the?!?!?
What's with the way people drive around here?!? I don't remember a section in the drivers' ed book that states: "For safety, one should continuously pace the car in the lane to the right of your own." WTF!! The left most lane is the passing lane(!!!!); not the get next to the car on your right and see how they are doing so you block the rest of the traffic for about 50 miles lane! Just get out of the damn way...if you are in the slow lane and want to pass the car in front of you; (1)you move into the left lane, (2)accelerate consistantly until you pass (not pace) the car on your right, (3)then you move back into the right lane once you are past the other vehicle so other people can pass you.
Also, whats with all the people who move from the slow lane into the fast lane when there is no one in front of them? (And if you say it's because they want to make a left, it's not true. Unless they plan on making a left 10 miles from when they moved into the fast lane...but I've never seen it.) It's totally stupid...I just think the state of Maryland should make all the drivers who grew up in this state re-take the drivers test so the rest of the people who moved here can keep their sanity. (It could be all the people who are used to driving the farm equipment that don't know how to drive though...I don't know.) :razz:
Anyway...that's my 1st rant on this crazy southern maryland forum...

What's a guy gotta do to get a bookstore around here anyway?

You need to adapt, not get pissed. You ain't gonna change the way people drive. Where are you located for the bookstore info?

I suggest you read the Maryland Drivers Handbook.

You may also want to consider relocating, since you don't like it here.
