If my cat were to die, could I bury her in my yard or do I have to take her to the vet and they'll do it?

Not that my cat is going to die anytime soon, but it's something that just popped into my head.

I even think you could bury your cat before it died.

My mother's cat died and the vet gave her a box to bury it in her backyard. I'd bury my pets in the backyard.

In our yard..

1 large doe

1 ewe

1 lamb

3 dogs

5 cats

1 tiny kitten

2 guinea pigs

Have you ever seen the movie Pet Sematary? :eyebrow:

I was just curious about this because I would rather have Claudia buried here at home than cremated or something.

No, but I always laugh because I figure in 50 years somebody will dig up the yard and figure we were into sacrificing animals.

We always bring our pets home.

Bury Claudia in a potted plant. That way when your lender forecloses on you because you cannot afford to pay your mortgage anymore due to falling revenue from the housing crunch stopping advertising online and you have to start renting like all smart people do, you can take her with you.

Buried my one little dog in the backyard and when the next one dies, she'll go right beside her.

That's great idea! Maybe the butterfly pot, with some gerber daisies planted on top of her :yay:
