Not to mention, GMR is a common patrol area.

My brother was a Charles County deputy.

He and a buddy -also a cop- ran a lawncare business on the side.

Several years ago I stayed with my brother for a month or so while between houses. As I was getting ready for work one morning they came in to the kitchen and plopped down a HUGE box of Dunkin Donuts.

"What's so funny?" :lmao:

I know the new owners were having trouble getting a permit for the drive-through that they wanted. I wonder if they got the drive through or just gave up? I'm sure they'll do well. A very bright and energetic couple. IIRC, they bought the rights to 5 franchises in the county, so these stores are just the first of them. They've had a heck of a time finding decent locations.

They might knock the Donut Connection or whatever it is outta business. They used to be Dunkin Donuts but I think lost their franchise License. That place seems to be an after hours trouble spot on the weekends after the bars close.

My office is close by. They have been jack hammering, ripping out plumbing, painting, etc. for the last week and a half. It was my understanding the "doughnut connection" is moving into the old Cedar Point location.

Be cool to have the drive-through. I can see the doughnuts being delivered via those vaccum tubey things, not sure how well a cup of coffee will make the trip

This is really exciting. I always thought the Donut Connection was like a DD ripoff. My girlfriend and I moved here from Maine a year ago and we've been seriously jonesing for Dunkin. I saw last week that they have the ground coffee on the shelves at McKay's.

All I can say is that I hope the stores will be owned by Americans. Most of the ones in the Philadelphia area, including Camden County, NJ are owned by Mediteranean and India immigrants that don't understand plain english. I used to be a fan of DD's coffee, then I changed to Wawa coffee and love it. Can mix whatever coffee I want, pour my own, and fix it however I want.

bad location?

I think thats a bad location... not much parking it will be very hectic in the morning.

You will be able to access it from both sides of the building front and back because of the new connector road that they have put it between kmart and walmart.

Not speaking for Joyce here, but it would be nice if half the foreigners who owned these types of shops could understand and speak English clearly. How about giving the Americans a chance at the American dream before the Foreigners? Just a thought.

How about those born here get off their lazy asses and pursue the dream themselves? The reason immigrants do things like that is because they seek out the opportunity and bust their butts to make it happen; all the while laughing at the vast number of lazy american-born people who don't do much of anything to improve their lives. They laugh because with hard work you can do a lot and they don't understand why more people don't do what they did- especially since they were born here, should know and have had more time.

I'm from NH and Dunkin Donuts are on every corner. Or at least that is what is seems like.... I was up in Maine a few weeks ago and noticed an intruding company..... no, not Krispy Kreme.....

Tim Horton's

They seemed to be nearly as prevalent as DD.
