In a store, but I wasn't sure it was you until after I saw you the second time. Then there's also the famous umbrella hat that everyone has seen.

Nitwit3286-

Many of the fun things that can be done here in good ole' Southern Maryland were already posted by fourmites before me in this thread. There really is a ton to do and see. I am especially partial to Point Lookout. I love it there. You should check out ITT on base and MWR. They should be able to point you to the fun stuff or alternatives.

After reading this thread I just thought I might pass on some friendly advice... As a Navy Wife you have to learn to adapt to your environment, or you are never going to make it as a Navy Wife. Military spouses have to make many sacrifices because of their spouses job, so in reality and whether you like it or not, you not only married your man, you married his job as well. He did become GI Joe when he signed up for the Military, not Nitwit3286's husband.

I understand it must have been culture shock for you when you moved here, but I am from here. My Man is Military, we transferred away for a few years, then transferred back, and I cried when I first drove back into Lexington Park and saw a Wawa on every corner and most of the farm land gone thanks to Commercial and Housing Developments. I didn't want to be back here because this was not the home I left, but I adjusted and life is good.

What I'm getting at is, no matter where you go, nothing stays the same. It's a sad truth in life, but it's something you must adapt too. Where ever you and your family go while your husband is in the military, you just have to roll with the changes. Be it Big City or Small Town Country, you might end up somewhere next that is even worse then what you think of St. Mary's.

:lmao: I was wondering when that would happen! Everyone gets the point. There are LOTS of this to do around here for people of all ages. We don't need to build more, we need to go out and enjoy what's available! :huggy:
Okay, I'm done. If anyone wants the link to these calanders, PM me.

It has been very hard for me...since I turned 18..got kicked out of my house...stayed at a friends for a while...met my husband...got pregnant...had the baby got married....not in that exact order...but everything was done while I was here...not back home with my family. Yes it has been hard..but I feel like I have come out on top. I have a beautiful family and I am proud of it. I wish some things had been done differently, but for only being 20 years old..I feel like I have been through a lot. Some things not by choice of course...but everyone makes mistakes.
This is a joke, right?

After reading the first couple of pages of this thread, I could  feel the ultimate demise of the originator...

After reading the last couple of pages, I knew I would not be disappointed... :twitch:
