Do I win a cool prize?
"Geek of the Week" :diva: Unless someone can top you.

I had a girlfriend that used to stalk Jimmy Buffet - she had her house done in memorabilia, went to every concert in the midAtlantic and actually made the journey to Mecca (Key West) to stake out his recording studio and home there. And she was like 40 years old! Definitely put the "fan" in fanatic.

I may have been a geek, but I was a COOL geek.

Let's see: I followed RELIGIOUSLY the Grateful Dead, Little Feat, Bonnie Raitt, Lyle Lovett, Jimmy Buffet, and Sting. When I think of all the money that I spent going to shows I cry, but when I think of the great memories, I wear a huge smile.

My daughter's best friend spent an entire weekend in front of David Bowie's townhouse in New York trying to catch a glimpse.

Well IMO, if you have no regrets about not taking the domesticated road in life, who's to say you should of done different. You are a self-supporting, independent woman and have plenty of great memories and stories to carry with you for the rest of your days....and I'm sure there are more memories to be made yet to come...

You can have my girl, but don't touch my hat

Ooohh .... and don't forget the my other favorite ...

You say you're not from Texas
Man as if I couldn't tell
You think you pull your boots on right
And wear your hat so well

That's right you're not from Texas
That's right you're not from Texas
That's right you're not from Texas
But Texas wants you anyway!

*dances away*

Hell, I dropped out of college to follow bands around the country. I still have the ticket stubs to prove it, +/- 200 to one band alone. I had an absolute blast doing it, and met some amazing people, too.

I wasn't a backstage groupie or anything, but simply a huge fan. The positive experience was compounded by the opportunity to see lots of familiar faces, participate in cool tailgating parties, dancing our fool heads off, etc. But WHAM! stopped touring and I had to go back to work
:roflmao:
