All this sillyness reminds my of time I was at Costco with my brother and when the cashier asked if he'd be paying by debit or credit he replied, "Neither. I'm going to pay with these convenience slips." and pulled out a wad of cash... That struck me as TFF...:killingme

Well I'm glad you were so amused by that.

Hey, guess what? I got your number back in my phone after it went missing and I had to buy a new one. Now I can drunk dial you some more! :yay:

Hey... it was better than the time he put up all his groceries then put up the multi-pak of toilet paper and asked her, "Is this enough toilet paper for this amount of this food?"

Omg!! :killingme: :killingme:

I have a new Droid Incredible - touch screen. And auto-correct. So I've been sending out some of the most incoherent PMs ever.

Don't forget to go to the market and get PDANet so you can tether for free and Google skymap so you can see the stars in the sky even during the day, oh and Chuck Norris facts, and the magic 8 Ball.

Why tether when most laptops have a wireless card and wireless connections are everywhere? Not to mention you have internet right on the phone

Trust me, once you start using it you'll wonder how you lived without it, and the internet on the phone is the point. You tether your laptop to your phone and share it's internet connection.

BUT in our case the phone is our internet at home, so we tether our laptops at home. We constantly use the PDANet, and now wifi HotSpot.

We always use them when on travel, that way you aren't depending on the hotel having wi-fi or charging you for wi-fi.. and airports, they usually charge for wi-fi too.

Install PDANet on the mini ACER laptop, and you can have a full screen fully functional laptop for your co-pilot when you are on the road.

And if you want to get real high speed, you can also do a cable-less tether using Blue Tooth or wifi...

Question: Can I used the Droid as an iPod type of device..to listen to radio stations. I'm wondering if it makes sense to buy a Sony Walkman with radio capability (which is what I really want to listen to while on the bus) or upgrade my phone to a Droid. I just don't want to have to pay for the stupid data package that Verizon has...I know I have to though if I get the Droid.

There are THOUSANDS of free apps for the droid for radio, and music, and yes you can download and listen to MP3s..

Pandora is a free app, though I've never used it, it does sound pretty cool..

That's what pisses me off w/Verizon. Most of their phones require the purchase of a data package, and I don't want that. I want a phone that I can use to talk, text, and sometimes take a picture.

Hell, I didn't even want that much. Give me a phone that fits in my pocket and I can call someone with. I text in emergencies only.

YOU may not text, but your friends do. :tap:

Fred doesn't even have a cellphone, which just annoys the crap out of me.

I said I could text in emergencies. Ask Christy, I texted her.....once. Took me about 15 min to do it, but I got it out. Someday I'll upgrade.
