YOU have voted to ratify our new Collective Bargaining Agreement with DynCorp! YOU have made your voice heard in the Union's democratic process, and in so doing, YOU have a new CBA that takes effect September 1st, 2010.
Your negotiating committee would like to thank you all for your support, dedication and patience throughout this entire process. Without YOU, we could not have negotiated such a good contract. It is fair, and it's very beneficial to the membership.
CONGRATULATIONS MEMBERS OF IAMAW PAX RIVER LOCAL LODGE 4!
You should all be proud of yourselves this day. I, and your entire negotiating committee, are very proud of you. Thank you all who came out to vote, your voices have been heard!

Uhmm...39.5% of the membership voted (based on 900, less if over 900)..

Looks like, to me, either the members didn't care or most of the ones that would have voted "no", didn't bother to show up...

Not being a Union man, can a contract be ratified with less than 50% of the membership participating?

1/3 membership vote. And thats nearly the amount of who showed up.

Damn. Now we have to put up with another 3 years of the Dyncorps Richardheads driving hell-bent-for-leather toward the gates every night.
