I just more so wanted pointers in the right direction as to not freak out if there is a twinge, cramp, bubble or nothing, etc etc.
Your body will do all kinds of strange things. But if something's wrong, you'll know. I can't explain it any better than that - you'll just know. Like when I'd ask friends, "How will I know if it's real labor or just BH?" and they said, "You'll know." And you do.

People will tell you to not call your doctor for every little thing - don't listen to them. Call whenever you want. Doctors and nurses are typically very indulgent with first-timers. Try to avoid pestering them after hours, but other than that, have at it.

Or just jump on here - most of us have kids and will be able to tell you what's normal and what's not. And, God knows, there's someone on here just about any minute of the day or night

:offtopic: But it's amazing to me that women in the olden days were out picking crops, squatted and dropped the kid, slung it over their shoulder and kept right on picking. Today we have all these rules and books about being pregnant, which is the most natural thing in the world and has been going on since time began.

I'm not busting on you, Sum - I was the same way, as are most new preggos. I just think it's interesting to compare simple things then vs. how we go about it now.

Back during the “squat in the field” birthing times, mother and baby mortality rates were astronomical. Nowadays, you can push out a 26-28 weeker and more than likely, it will survive. Basically, it comes down to using your God given common sense.

Congrats on the BFP.

Try not to worry so much about every single thing, because it will drive you freaking insane.

Do what they all are telling you to do.

Also this is not the time to start an intense exercise routine just keep it low impact with walking. If your body is not used to intense exercise before pregnancy, then you shouldn't start an intense routine.

About 5 weeks in, what were your symptoms? Did they change? Did they go away in some areas? Or did you get new ones. I know it's different for everyone. Just asking for a very generalized idea. :flowers:

Fatigue! I could have slept through the entire 1st trimester, and there was nothing I could do to get my energy back. If you are feeling tired just try to hang in there...you will get some of your energy back at some point! Also, sleep now while you can because the further along you get the harder it is to sleep...just getting comfortable at night time can be a chore! I highly recommend using a body pillow as well!

*nods* Yeah, I have been pretty sleepy. Will take short naps, or just lay down when I get home.

Some of my other symptoms seem to be going away too.. :twitch:

Is this thread going to last the whole 9 months?

And? So what if I do. You dont have to participate in it. Besides, the people who want to contribute will. I would appreciate if you would please just not say anything else, unless it's a contribution. One thread that I make out of thousands on here, and you have to come eff with this one. Just lay off DoWhat.
