Easter Baskets

Easter is ruined this year! I haven't been able to find regular sized bags of the Cadbury Mini-Eggs. :bawl: The only ones I've seen are those teeny bags at Walmart for $3. :nomoney:

They have big bags at BJ's in California for about $7 a bag. I have been trying to resist the temptation since they are my favorite Easter candy.

My dad owned a party store and they rented out costumes so he would take the feet home and put flower on them and hop them around the house but I dont see why you can't make some kind of stencil and do it that way.

Don't know exactly what will be in their baskets. I usually get a pair of the 2 for $5 flip flops from Old Navy put in their along with candy. Then the "Easter Bunny" (meaning me) gets up at the butt crack of dawn to hide easter eggs.

7 y/o girl - Disney Mary Jane Crocs, Disney Dollars, movie, book, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, some candy & whatever else I may pick up

1y/o boy - Disney Crocs, Disney Dollars, movie, book, sand toys, some candy, fruit snacks & whatever else I may pick

Yes, we're going to Disney in August! I think crocs are hideous on myself but my kids love them & I really think they look fine on kids. I did buy myself a pair of the Crocs brand flip flops cause they are extra cushiony & I hate shoes so we'll see how those work out in Disney as well! My kids get a basket at both grandparents house & easter egg hunts at 3 houses that day, they get too much! lol

Good idea w/ the flip flops :yay:

I try not to put too much candy in their baskets. This year I am going to get them a chocolate bunny, a reeses egg, and some peeps. They will each get a kite and the older boys will probably get some flip flops (thanks for the idea GB) and then a ax spray and baby jack will get a book or video.

I have to get someone to watch the kids this weekend so I can run out and get some baskets and stuff. I try to sneak stuff in the cart while we shop but nothing gets by these three!!!

We're spending Easter with my mom since DH is in France working [has been for a month]. They'll be getting a basket from her as well as their other grandparents so I'm not doing anything extravagant.

There will be an Easter egg hunt at each of their grandparents houses as well. No shortage of fun on Easter

No prob. My girls want one in every color. Easter basket is not that big. I try not to put too much candy in ther as well. I just found a bag with Valentine's Day candy in it nobody has touched. They'd be pretty upset if the Easter Bunny decided to put veggies in the basket instead, "lol".

Someone want to take my kids so I can go shopping?

I have no idea what I am getting them yet

Target's shelves are looking pretty bare in the Easter aisles. Luckily, my kids aren't candy eaters so most of their basket is filled with other stuff.

Easter was never much more than spending time with family, dying eggs and getting Easter baskets with candy (and a toothbrush, hehe) for me as a kid. What happened to that?

Really? I love dying eggs.. Probably more than the kids

My son just had his tonsils out yesterday so I don't think he will feel up to doing much on Easter.

Me too! They dyed one egg each at the Easter party they went to on Wednesday and they said that was all they wanted. I might just buy a kit and hope that if I take it to Grandma's house tomorrow, they will get into it.

Hope your son feels better soon!!
