Ebay Issue

I purchased an item on ebay (a nintendo game) and the seller listed it as "looks good, plays good". I got the game yesterday, and it looks dirty, rattles, and does not play. I sent a message through ebay and also sent an email directly to the seller telling them the problem and asking for my money back or a replacement. I sent the messages yesterday. How long should I wait for a reply before taking further action? I can get my money back through Paypal, but I'd like to give the seller a chance to make good on this.

Personally, I'd give the seller 2 days. Then I'd send another email. If after 3 you don't hear back, I'd file a complaint.

I've filed two complaints through eBay/PayPal and each time it took about a month to get my money back. Good luck!

Good thing you used paypal. If you don't go through paypal ebay is more inclined to help if you have any issues.

That's not a quantitative statement, it's an opinion. You seem to have a difference of opinion.
Unless the item received is different than what was pictured in the ad, I doubt if they do anything.

I hope you gave super negative feedback

Well, if they said it works and it actually doesn't, that's not my opinion. :lol: The seller contacted me and said they'd refund my money if I returned the game, so I mailed it back yesterday.

I'm not sure what kind of feedback I'll leave. I mean, as long as they refund my money, it's not a huge deal, only an inconvenience (because now D is down 1 Christmas present). Maybe I'll leave neutral. :shrug:
