Eggs

I don't do much egg cracking, I just eat them fried or scrambled or mixed in with cakes , as long as they aren't rotten they are good to me.
I am not much into the humanity of the way the chicken was grown or the hog was raised or what the cows ate.
I am not into animal cruelty , but I doubt the chicken in the cage is any better off than one who walks around plucking the ground as long as both are well fed and not used for sex by Bubba I am good.

Some people believe we should stab crabs before we steam them and put them out of their misery decently , I don't do that either.

I refuse to buy regular white eggs in the grocery store. I would rather do without. If you've had fresh eggs, there is no comparison.
Yeah, but so many things that require an egg mixed in with it, it’s hard to go without.

Yes. When you crack them open side by side you can really see the difference. Pasture raised and free range have deeper yellow yolks and thicker whites, and they're marginally more nutritious. Aesthetic appeal aside, the deal sealer for me is how the chickens are raised. I'm not a big fan of animal cruelty and avoid participating when possible.
It really is horrible how the industrial complex treats chickens.

Okay so! At Publix their store brand large eggs are $6.16/doz and EB's are $6.37/doz. Walmart would be $1-2 cheaper ( I didn't go there but that's pretty typical).

I'm feeling better and better about my Sam's Club membership.

Can you really tell the difference between her eggs and anyone elses?
I don't mean to knock your post, but to tell the truth --to me an egg is an egg.
They all taste the same to me.
Yes! The taste is much different, the shells are thinner and the yoke is bright yellow.

I also try to support small businesses!

She is a stay at home Mom and milks her goats twice a day for her other products; which are awesome, BTW. I got into chiggers- or I should say they got into me- and her colloidal oatmeal soap cleared them right up!

And also:

Eggs at the store are .50 each, give take. Waffle House certainly gets a much better price than that, yet they implemented a surcharge of .50 per egg, which is more than the egg costs them, which is already built into their profit margin. Also instead of making a big deal out of an EGG SURCHARGE :jameo: they could have simply raised their prices accordingly and nobody would have noticed.

Egg hysteria isn't making any sense to me.

There you go mocking Chiggers. The National Association of red bugs wants you to call them Cheegro's.

The shells is a tossup, ive gotten cheap eggs at walmart before with some very tough shells. I had one egg that took me three tries to crack it.

We added calcium to their diet to toughen up the shells.
