What's the deal? I keep seeing these stories where grocery stores are limiting to 1 carton per person, and egg surcharges, etc etc, but I'm not seeing that here. Sams Club had a whole wall full of eggs, and Publix was full up, as well as Walmart.

Are you guys having an egg shortage?

Yes, there is an egg shortage.

Avian Flu. 150 million chickens destroyed.

I don't do much egg cracking, I just eat them fried or scrambled or mixed in with cakes , as long as they aren't rotten they are good to me.
I am not much into the humanity of the way the chicken was grown or the hog was raised or what the cows ate.
I am not into animal cruelty , but I doubt the chicken in the cage is any better off than one who walks around plucking the ground as long as both are well fed and not used for sex by Bubba I am good.

Some people believe we should stab crabs before we steam them and put them out of their misery decently , I don't do that either.
If you were born in a box, lived there all of your life, were fed well and had plenty of water and kept warm you would not give a crap about what people are doing to you. It is like Arabs in the desert, all they want is food, shelter, and be left alone. They don't know borders, leaders or world problems and really don't GAF. It is the bleeding hearts that tell them they are unhappy and should be outraged. I am reminded of a Ted Nugent interview:

Ted Nugent, a heavy metal guitar legend and devoted (bow) hunter, was being interviewed by a French journalist. Eventually, the conversation turned to his love of outdoor pursuits. The journalist asked, "What do you think the last thought is in the head of a deer before you shoot it? Is it, "Are you my friend?" or maybe "Are you the one who killed my brother?"

Nugent replied, "They aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, What am I going to eat next? Who am I going to screw next? and, Can I run fast enough to get away? They are very much like the French in that."

Those signs are a sales gimmick. If they say limit 2, then everyone will buy 2. when they only need one.

I don't use many eggs during the week, because it's just easier to hit McD's drive-thru and get a #2 with a large coke. Last dozen I got a week +/- ago were $5.50 at Food Lion. I still have 4 left and wouldn't care if they go to $12/dozen. As long as Elon is looking into the bullsh!t the NGOs have been getting our tax money for, I'll gladly pay twice that amount to see the toilet flushed.
