As for the NPR story, this is similar akin to the liberal notion that not increasing the rate of spending for a govt program is the same as a cut to the program. Twitter users were so used to having liberal views be boosted and conservative ones reduced that when things are even, it looks like its the other way. This clip shows the problem.
