Very interesting. I did Alase - out of Pentagon City (there is one in Annapolis now) a few years ago. I bought in right as they phased out the painful (don't know what else to call it) method to go pain free. I think my first 3 were the painful one. I go in for 4, and they said - we have this great new pain free method. I did it, and it is much less painful. I go back for 5, and they were going to do the painful one again - after I had done the pain free and it hurt so much less! I said oh I don't think so :) Maybe I should have stuck with the painful one! Since I was toward the end of the treatments, I really don't know if the pain less version worked less or not.
I know it didn't work that's why I quit going. I even requested the painful method because I knew it worked but they said they didn't use it any more. I had my suspicions about anything that was "pain free" and I was right. It's a rip off!

Did you say that they were going to use the more painful method on you? I would go back if I had the option. I might call them back in January to see if they offer the previous method.

Yes, but this was back when they were first phasing in the painfree method, so the option may be gone now... I know there are places around here who do electrolysis, but I'm not sold on that.

Ok, thanks. I'm sure it's not an option today unless everyone complains that the pain free method doesn't work and boycotts them. I tried a few treatments with electrolysis back in the 80's and it's more painful than anything I've ever felt.
