I hope you're right.. the first 6 months to a year are the most dangerous for new rider.. just concerned.
I'm still working with the 650 and learning the ropes on it, but I don't get out much because CERTAIN people don't want me out alone........That's okay with me, though. I don't want to make DR worry. And he does. It bothers him if I ride it to work, so I just don't do that. Unless he pisses me off. :lmao:

Offer is still open, come by and take mine for a ride.. I don't know about the height, but can put the seat down for you.

See what a nice weight, and a little bit of power feel like.. Maybe even teach you how to pick up a bike!

This woman, SKert, travels the country and teaches men and women how to pick up their bikes.. She does a lot of the Pink RIbbon rides and such..

Yeah, and?? She graduates right to a 15 or 1800?? Still like to watch..

GoldWing is a NICE bike and a REALLY nice ride... but it's BIG and HEAVY.. Lot of bike for a first ride.

Thank you for your concern and it's actually a 1200. Believe me, no one is more concerned than I am, but I'll have hubby helping me every step of the way, he's been riding for 25 years and it will probably be well into next season before I even venture onto any major roads. I'm not going to be a chicken crap, just going to be very careful.

You're an adult, and we make our own decisions. Be careful and have fun!!

Your 650 weighed more than my 1150...

And someone can teach you how to pick up a 500 lb bike without a problem.. it's not hard.

We haven't got to that lesson yet....she hasn't fallen over while I have been with her :diva:

Mine is approx. 560lbs and I can get it back up without a problem(first lesson my dad taught me when I first started riding)....It's all a "leverage" thing

Ended up in North Beacy eating smoked briskit, cole slaw and potatoe salad.

Finishing last
Indeed it was a great ride, great people, great food. APS I guess you were suprised when I followed across the Bridge. Had to get to Circuit City for a present for my Parents. Combo present. Fathers Day, Moms BDay, Dads BDay, Anniversary!

When they came down to visit me in their Mustang Convertible they had to call for directions. So I got em a Garmin Navigator!

I rode over to morton's on Saturday to pick up an alternator belt.. had 218 all to myself on the way out, and only got behind one car on the last 1/4 of the stretch coming back.. PERFECT ride, beautiful day, great corners..

I got a Goldwing, so hubby and I will now have a matched set.

Can't wait to see your pics. :lmao:
It's not ALL bad.. it does have a Boxer engine in it. That's a very good start, and a good reason you can still find a lot of these bikes still on the road..

That and I think the Gold Wing is more American Made than a Harley..
