~LEGS FOR DAYS~
When my lil one was almost 3 I thought hell, terrible two's, if that was terrible two's I've got it made. Boy was I wrong, she skippded being terrible @ 2 and waited 'til she was 3. "NO!" was a very popular word....boo hoo tantrums here and there...it wasen't all that bad now that I look back at it. But boy was it a PIA during.

We never had a problem with temper tantrums. The very first one, I slapped the crap out of the kid. Thus the child learned immediately that there are less risky, if not more effective, means of communication. The child also learned that if you eff up you will pay for it, one way or the other.

Seems to me like for both of our kids, they learned about corporal punishment at about the same time they started trying terrible two tricks.

Mine did that at the most appropriate times - shopping! I remember many, many times I had to drag a two year-old out of the mall while everyone was watching.

That's when you hide from them. You can see them, but they can't see you.

Same with mine, except that it's his speaking voice that is soooo loud. I'm very softspoken, so I don't know where he gets the idea that he needs to speak so loud. :lmao:

And trying to explain the concept of "using your indoor voice" to a two year old is about as useful as explaining it to the cat.

And welcome me into the "Terrible Twos". My son turned 2 last Thursday. It's been fun. He hasn't slept throught the night in 3 weeks. He's running around like a little mad man. He's been hilarious, though. He's really getting his personality now. I'm tired.

Any good Terrible 2 stories?

Congrats!! my little girl turns 2 next month....uugh

In response to the unsigned karma, his hearing is fine. I can whisper something from across the room and he hears me. He's just loud. :yay:

My Lil' Monster will be 2 in Jan. I dont know what is down the road.

We got his potty seat as soon as he started watching daddy while he was in the bathroom. So when we go in there he comes too, and he knows to sit down on it. After a while we will start trying to get him to use it.

He throws himself on the floor all the time when he cant get what he wants...after about 5 seconds of me looking at him like hes lost his mind he gets up and finds a toy and goes off like nothing happened.

He is a really good kid, I dont think we will have much trouble out of him.

I'll trade you a 16 year old for your 2 year old. She does laundry, dishes and cooks - and I don't even mind if the 2 year old isn't potty trained. :jet:
:lmao:
At least your 16 does that you would think we were killing ours asking him to help out. Your right in its own way a 2 yr old is easier than a 16 yr old.
