I pray to God that you're the only one who thinks that way. What...did this horrible loss of lives interrupt your gossip..and God forbid...your thread on what you ate for dinner tonight? I think that you need to reassess your values...and what actually matters in this world. People died...if it were your family or friends...would you be so callous to respond in such a way? Doubtful...

You've been an idiot since 1958; why stop now?

It's very obvious that you didn't make a point...so how can you say that I missed the point? My recommendations to you are....oh well...what's the point? You have no heart...or no clue...so why bother? Sooooo....go back to your dinner menu...

You're getting stupider by the post...so stop posting!

In all the tragic news, ... no where did they mention how many of our service members have died so far this year, protecting our freedom .. so We can write whatever we want and b*tch as loud as we please.

I happen to be a retired service member who proudly served 20 years protecting my fellow Americans' freedom. Those 20 years included protecting the "BOPs" of this great nation (including protecting his freedom of speech). I would gladly do it all again in a heartbeat.

I agree that the number of our service members whose lives have been lost are barely a blurb in the news these days....and it sickens me. I can only hope that some of America still take the time to read those blurbs on occasion.

So, DreamGirl, I do believe I've earned the right to write whatever I want and B*tch as loud as I please also.

So you think that you're the only one who served or has the right to free speech?? :hypocrite: There are quite a few of us who served!

Every poster here has a right to post what they did. GTF off your high horse and get over yourself. :smack:

And thank you for your service. :patriot:

No...I do not think that nor did I imply it. And I thank you for your service also.

Stop posting; you're not only getting stupider by the post, but now you're bringing dishonesty into it as well.

You ABSOLUTELY assumed that I personally, and people "like" me did not serve. Your statement that "I happen to be a retired service member who proudly served 20 years protecting my fellow Americans' freedom. Those 20 years included protecting the "BOPs" of this great nation (including protecting his freedom of speech). I would gladly do it all again in a heartbeat." can't be construed any other way, sparky. Whether you "meant" to imply it or not is irrelevant. I've been around the internet a long forking time, and I've seen quite a number of YOUR kind. All you all make the exact same assumption, which is that unless you know differently, nobody but you served this great country, especially if they don't agree with you and call you poopy names.

You do NOT get to make the claim that you've EARNED your 1st Amendment rights more than someone who's never served, or even more than me, since you did 20, and I only did 6. The same way I don't get to claim I earned more of a 1st Amendment right than anyone who's never served in the military. Not a single swinging d*ck one of us "more than earned the right to say what we please," any more than any other citizen of these here United States.

We are ALL of us, even people we don't happen to agree with, or even like very much, entitled to the same rights, privileges, and protections under the Constitution of the United States. We don't have to "earn" those rights, privileges, and protections, as much as I may personally feel like it ought to be otherwise. Thankfully, the founders were a lot smarter than either one of us will ever hope to be.

Did you know any of them? Do you know anyone who knows any of them? More than likely the answer is no. What makes this particular loss of life any worse than a local loss of life? My sister passed away years ago, are you moaning about the loss of that life.

Obama needed a National Crisis.. HIS 9/11.. and since it didn't happen, they made this into it.

Now he's "riding a wave of popularity" at the expense of all these victims.. Wonder how the congresswoman feels knowing that all she's going through, the pain, the rehab, her very own President is taking advantage of her situation and gaining in the polls at her expense.

Dear, I've lived in that town, and have shopped at that store. This event occurred in my hometown and I have family that still resides there, some only miles away from where this tragedy occurred. The first thing I did when I saw the news report was call my folks and make sure they were okay. If you think the news reports are heavy on this "here", you should check out the local newspaper there. Do you think the people there are getting over-saturated? Do you think NYC 9/11 was oversaturated?? Yes, the whole town of Tucson has been taken over by the media. It's a horrible loss of life and a shocking event to occur in what is sometimes known as a sleepy desert town. It's just a sad situation all around. I don't think people should be callous about it or insensitive about it. Period.

Well, he's in good company then. As long as you're talking about presidents who ride a wave of popularity at the expense of others, you forgot to mention W's ride on the back of the killed and wounded services members. He even got a re-election out of it.

Bush did it first! It's okay if Obama does it because Bush did it first!

Is that really why you voted for him? So you can get another Bush?

There's a bit of a difference here - you are pointing blame at the past. Others are pointing blame at the present, and what is happening now. Which one can be fixed?

Where were your calls to fix it back then, when it was in the present? If I saw where you'd criticized Bush for riding the wave back then and see you now criticizing Obama for riding the wave now, your argument would hold water. I only see you criticizing Obama now and giving Bush a pass because it's too late so your argument doesn't hold water.

So in other words you didn't know any of them and have bought in to the media hype.
