Lots of surprises back in there. Was surprised at the amount of English in my mothers "pure Scots" Nova Scotian ancestors. Seems a lot of Crown loyalists bailed from Long Island and the Carolinas after the events of 1775-1783 and headed for Nova Scotia under amnesty.... So even though her Mom was indeed all Scottish, her Dads "Nova Scotian" mom was descended from two English Loyalist families.

I was watching Dr. Phil with my wife yesterday. Without going into the weeds, it was suggested that two people take a polygraph and DNA tests to prove what they were saying - and Dr. Phil said - NO. We're not doing that, because you've already said you're not going to believe it if it doesn't support your story. Someone might say, well what could it hurt? Not the point. Doing it knowing full well it won't help is stupid.

My thing about reparations is - if they're paid - then THAT IS THE END OF IT. I mean, if it's supposed to be recompense for racism - then it's a debt that is PAID and finished. Once paid - no more of the other stuff. No more programs or rules and regulations. No more "equity". NOTHING. If this is supposed to SOLVE it, then there's no PROBLEM afterward, right?

I mean, isn't that the way it works when you settle in court? Agree to so much in damages - and that ends it?

Why do I believe it will never end? That somehow people NEED to be a victim rather than live life - not being one?

Why do I believe it will never end?

Because at some point more blacks will be born. Then there will be a push to compensate those born after the initial compensation date. This could go on into infinity. But that may be 1 of the unpublished goals.

I lost my german dna and amazed by how much northern irish I have. Daughter has a fair amount of danish, the wife's family is from upper England which was occupied by Denmark for a time.

Here I though 2 of my grandparents from Sicily were pure.... turns out they had a good amount of Greek, does that dilute my reparations? I'll settle for 1 mil after taxes.
Oddly enough I have less colored than Pocahontas has injun which surprised me.

PS being a touch of Greek does not make me anal retentive because I have not tried it...... yet.
