Personally, I think she was absolutely serious. I think she was in the unfortunate position to be on camera.

If she wasn't serious, then she should be slapped right across the face for pulling such a stupid stunt and stealing the attention away from Carrie Underwood. Winning Female Vocalist of the Year is a big deal, at least to country music artists and fans, and Faith should be ashamed of herself for acting like such an idiot.

I was flipping back and forth between the CMA's and the football game, and I missed that! I think she was serious. I don't think you can "fake" a look like that, and if you could, why would you, especially if you are of Faith Hill's caliber, fake a look of disgust, as a joke?!?! She got busted for being a poor sport.

On another note, how many of you thought the performances sucked? They had a lot of performers, more than I ever remember seeing, but I didn't think ANY of them sounded that good, and I've seen a lot of them in concert. "The Wreckers" were horrible.

Even if she was intentional with her reaction, she regained her composure (not that she had a choice) and did her best to right her wrong. "It was a joke" is a joke of a line to use for an explanation. I agree in that I think she was genuine in her reaction. I don’t fault her for her feelings but she appeared as if to be hyped up right before the announcement. She even had her hands in the air as if to accept the declaration of her name. Then like a dog running at full speed but attached to a chain....was yanked back and landed on her azz.

I think she should call Underwood and apologize but do nothing different as she has done up to this point with the "cover up" story. All I have to say that she did apologize. At least she did not pull a Kanye West stunt. She did not walk away as a sore looser from that point on IMO You have to give her some credit.

Real or not, it was pretty damn funny.

I don't like country music either, and I'm not an American Idol fan, but I do really like the new (I assume it's new ) Carrie Underwood song. I caught it on some late night show and thought it was pretty good.
