Fake online 'friend' led to girl's suicide

We are heading to my parents for Thanksgiving. How is your brother doing? That is so nice of you taking care of them...:huggy: If I don't catch you online, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!
As far as Christmas goes, the only thing I've done so far is make reservations at Great Wolf Lodge for the little ones...

He is doing better. Legs are starting to move a little more. Kids are healing fast.

Christmas will be extra special this year. Not present wise, family wise.

...intrusive parents...hmmm? What to charge them with? I'm with Vrail on this one; the parents of the girl who killed herself bear direct responsibility for her emotional and physical well being, not mean, ugly, manipualtive, phsycho strangers. They're suppose to prepare the kid to deal with the inevitable.

What do you think?

at first I was all up in arms for the parents of the child and blaming the other parents but I think they all are responsible in one way or the other.

Hard call since we don't have all the information. I know that I am going to keep a much better eye on mine and hoepfully they will come to me if they ever have a problem or I will be a good enough parent to know when they are having such extreme problems.

My heart wishes there was something that the courts could press against the other parents but logically I know it would be hard to do.

What I don't understand is the girl did the same thing herself with the same group of people earlier in the year. They found a super attractive teenage girl picture, used it, created a fake profile and lured in guys. I'm sure that broke some hearts  The girls parents found out and punished her. Someone should have been able to put two and two together, either the 13 year old girl or the parents of the 13 year old girl. Someone shoudl have thought something was "fishy"

Dems you are right. Something is so off on all this. I am still wondering why we did not hear about this a year ago.

Because they probably were trying legal action and didn't want the case to hit the media, and then after realizing all they could do was try to pass a law then they need public support so they went public with it  Just my guess, or needed time to cope without media hounding them or smoething  I also don't see how someone driving on someone's lawn to drop off the chopped up foosball table could be 1000 damage to their property. :ohwell:

Pretty friggin' psychotic.

But, unfortunately, you cannot lock someone up just for being psychotic. Be nice if you could, though.

You can, however, sue them in a civil suit. That is the only course of action these parents have to make her pay for f u c k i n g with their child's mind.

Sorta like why OJ was accquited but the sued in a civil suit for wrongful death.

I'd sue the b a s t a r ds if not do away with them myself.

even tho living with the fact the little girl is dead because of her is probably a punishment in itself.

I highly doubt she cares. Any adult woman who would engage in a juvenile antic like that isn't going to be real upset about a death - just upset that she may be held liable for it.
