Haven't you had enough? Damn, 13? Hell, with that many what's another litter!

I wanna have the next one lined up, so when i popped this one, I can get started on the next.

I am still doing DNA testing on the others, PM's are going out.

I adopted a female rat from SNR Bully Breed Rescue. We picked the rat up from the emergency vet in waldorf. While talking with the lady from the rescue, I learned that she had a female red double dapple dachshund that she rescued. She also had birds and spiney mice posted on petfinder for adoption. At the clinic(where she works), on the bulletin board there were flyers for the same rats, mice, and birds listed on petfinder, but for SALE. I told petfinder about it and I dont think they did anything. Well now she has an add on here looking for a stud for that dapple dachshund. She said she rescued thse rats but then said she bred them together for hairless, rex, and dumbo babies. We wouldnt have taken the rat we did except that our rat really liked her and we were there. Now I totally regret doing it because she's just making money off of this... Its BS. I really wish there was something to do about this. Has anyone else dealt with them?

If she really is looking for a stud for doxie and trying to claim she is a rescue yes, you really do need to try and find a way to report it.

Ok PackMom,
How about using some tools here...commas, paragraphs, keep it flowing and dont jump around.
You start off talking about a rat rescue/adoption, mention a dog, and in the next sentance, (same huge paragraph) mention rats, breeding, hairless, rex, dumbos...and you go on talking about the rat, the place you got her from..etc.

Now what are we to think...all this rat talk makes one think it is about rats..and the dog got lost in the jumble.

So tell us again what your concern is...the dog or the rat?
Or the breeding or making money??

:yeahthat: hopefully one of the people that are with rescue groups will be able to see this and point you in the right direction.

I look so nice in red...

I have two girl rats, Noel and Joy. They are really sweet girls. They will be one yr. old at Christmas (hence their names) and I am already not looking forward to their second birthdays. I feel like this year with them has gone so fast. There are a lot of people out there that don't have a clue about rats and never should have them for pets. I was called about 5 yrs. ago by a lady that had just rescued 10 rats. She didn't have a clue as to what to do with them so this organization knew I had rats and raised them and hamsters and told her to call me that maybe I could help. I am so soft hearted I ended up with all 10 rats! :lmao: I am no longer raising rodents though due to health reasons. They are wonderful little pets though! :howdy:

She wanted to breed a dapple to dapple...I wrote her and told her dapple to dapple would produce some blind and deaf pups..double dapples like the female I have...she has now changed her ad to looking for a solid male and NOT even a thank you or a reply to my email..

She knows this, thats one of the things we talked about that night. She was breeding hairless to hairless and admitted that all except two babies died. I just dont get it with some people.

Yes they also are listed on petfinder, as an authorized rescue group. They have the chow, a snake, a bird and a bunch of rats. Maybe her ad on here and the price listed is an adoption fee  But if it is a rescue she would get an better response if she stated that.

Even at $5 per rat you would NOT cover gas to get the rat and food and bedding for the cage etc...

we paid 10 for the one we got. The bird's fee was around $400 back in november of last year, I dont know if thats changed or not.

This is why a lot of folks think pet people are wack jobs. Do you have to adopt a rat to feed to your adopted snake?
