Sue Ann Lewis Armitage. 301-862-2430. Excellent family law attorney, but very hard to get an appointment with.

What happened when she talked to the state's attorney that is charged with enforcing the current court ordered child support?

Try the Center for Family Advocacy (think thats the name, they are located in Hollywood) Anyway, my son used them for his custody case and they did very well. Also if money is tight, as it is for alot of people, they have lower rates, based on income.

How do you know the arrears issue hadn't been addressed already by the courts, and the subject is paying in time. Often, these cases go before the courts and as long as the subject pays a little, the courts are reluctant to have the person incarcerated.

This post wasn't about collecting for the arrears, this post was about being represented for the modification hearing.

What if the guy is in arrears because his job changed and now he is making less.

It seems by your answers that you have some personal vendetta, or are dis-satisfied with the states attorney's office. If that's the case, start a different thread, maybe there are others who agree.

You seem to lack reading comprehension. I've recommended she contact the State's attorney twice.

Thank you but I will pass on the offer to kiss your ass, I can't think of any woman who would as you seem to be a very mean spirited man. Napoleon complex I suspect.

You did in fact suggest the states attorney twice, but that wasn’t what the op was asking for. And you say I should check my comprehension.

Yes, the op did mention arrears in her post. She did not however explain how the person became behind.

Maybe your level of education hasn't allowed you to fully understand the judicial system, but a modification hearing is a civil manner and the states attorney does not handle civil manners. I would think that even a person of your moderate intelligence would understand that.

I just read....single dad. That explains a lot.

I suggested she start with the State's attorney. As a custodial parent, I've used them to resolve support issues. She's already paid for the services of the State's Attorney with her taxes, why pay twice for the same service?

Not sure what your crack about being a single parent means but your attitude suggests you can KMA
