Maybe she means the little bouncy/vibrating seat..similar to the infant seats of days gone by. My little grandkids loved them ...from the time they came home from the hospital. They weren't able to use it for very long.

I actually think that's what the earlier suggestion of a "Boppy" is.

This is a boppy.

Yep. It allowed me hands free of baby, but baby still in sight and part of whatever I was doing.

Thank you. I was beginning to feel .

Of all the baby items I got, I thought the diaper genie was a huge PITA to use and was the first item I found useless. Some people love 'em, me, I always poked my finger somehow, someway in the diaper shoving it in the hole.

Those infant days are so short lived, because by the time they are 1, you wish you could just power wash them and everything else they come in contact with.

I used the bounce chair/car seat/diaper bag more than anything else.

I had one of those trash cans with a lid that would open when I hit a lever with my foot. It allowed me to keep the stinkies in a sealed container and remain hands-off the trashcan until I switched out the bag.

You would stick an infant in a bouncy chair?

I started putting S in her bouncy chair around 2 weeks old... give or take a few days there. If I was in the kitchen cooking I put her in it and set it on the island so she was near. She loved that chair and still does. It vibrates as well so when she gives me little fits about going to sleep I turn that thing on and she settles down right away. Now that she is older there is toy piece that goes with it. It plays music and has toys for her to bat at. This would be my number one must have!

I also have the carrier for baby. You strap it on and they can face you when very young and face out when they get a bit older. In the evnings when she was a bit fussy I would throw her in it and take a walk, inside or outside.

The swing, we could have done w/o. But it's nice to have.

I've used the boppy somewhat. But it is something I could have lived w/o.

All babies are different each one will like something another doesn't.

That is eventually what I got.

We had that type of can when my sisters were little and they kept the smell contained (cloth diapers :dead:).

Cloth diapers make great birp clothes now! :yay: That is another item I never had enough of.

My son loved his Johnny Jump Up - my daughter hated it. The bouncy baby seat thing is a good idea - she can worry about a true infant seat/carrier when little Horatio is past the newborn stage.

Ok....the 3 best things that I had with all of my mutts was the baby carrier that you strap to the front of you(baby facing towards you till they can hold their head up, facing out to look at the world after that), the back pack carrier(please tell her to check it before she leaves a store for items that she didn't purchase) and a large laundry basket(makes for a nice basinette)

Is that right? Shows how long it's been since I've dealt with infants. Okay, well that's cool - two gizmos in one. :yay:

Really three if you get the right one. I had a base for the car and a stroller that the infant seat sat in and when baby gets older you store the car seat and you still have a stroller for toddlers. Very handy item.
