Anyone have experience with Atomic Floors (good or bad) formerly of Waldorf, now in PF?
Also, has anyone used DuraCeramic by Congoleum? We are considering both.
Thanks.![]()
I have DuraCeramic in the high traffic areas of my home... foyer, diningroom, gameroom... It's been down for over three years and still looks brand spanking new. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my DuraCeramic floor. As for "spillage".... my floor is grouted just like regular ceramic and there is no way there could be any seepage. Hint on the grout.... I chose a dark grout that accents my flooring rather than the standard white grout. It looks awesome.
That was our second dilemma...grout or no grout, lol. When I think of grout, I think too much upkeep like regular ceramic tile. I believe Denise said there was no upkeep as long as you don't use harsh chemicals on the grout but we are considering no grout.
I appreciate the info/feedback!
DuraCeramic it turns out great and easy to lay
but we're not, lol. We're gonna pay to have it installed. I guess it's better to do that than waste the money on the material by screwing it up, hehe.
what room are you doing and how big ?
We're doing the foyer (small area) down the short hallway to the breakfast nook, kitchen, small closet, powder room, laundry room and walk-in pantry. Overall about 550 sf.
thats alot of flooring ..DuraCeramic isnt all that thick.. i wouldnt use it where there's alot of walking. small area's would be good..
it would be fine by two different flooring companies. Are you worried about it cracking or something like that? The only mention of tiles breaking might be is if something was dropped close to a corner. Now I'll be worried.
