the fireworks at Solomons sucked!!

to the parking people--i hope they use some of that money they collected to cut the grass. also trying to get out was kinda crazy. and then to get out and couldn't go back over the bridge (had to go right and find a u-turn spot).

With the signs and traffic cones, it was clear that they did not want anyone from St. Mary's to be there. Remember that next time and stay home, or go see the show in your own county.

i didn't see the signs that said "For Calvert County Residents Only"
and the cones obviously didn't stop me from coming over the bridge, so why couldn't i go back.

My sis-n-law has a friend that lives right behind the fairgrounds on Fairgrounds rd. We went there. Front row seats and we could feel and hear the fireworks fall on us and the cars. Even had a few pieces of paper from the containers I guess. Kids loved it. Best seat to fireworks I've ever had and what a gorgeous night for them.

We never left our little enclave down here in the 7th. We walked down to our seawall and watched Colonial Beach's show for a bit but all up and down the river on both sides fireworks were everywhere. 3 of our neighbors had a three way duel to see who had the best fireworks. The little guy (and his folks) enjoyed it. If they do fireworks at the blessing of the fleet again this year (hopefully the weather won't suck like last year) I will definitely be rocking some front row seats.

Fairgrounds wasnt bad, it was better than solomons was last year so that made it better. Other than the idiots that cant drive, #######s in this county think they should just get right in front of you, but thats a hole different story, other than that and the unorganized parking not to bad.
