Fostering this (not so) little girl. Estimated to be about 4-6 months old. If her paws are any indication, she's going to be BIG.

I call her Buff McPup. (Her name is Buffy)

Chances are, we will adopt her, just have to wait.

Good luck! What breed is she? My Danes sleep like that...maybe a bit of Dane in her?

That was my first thought. She is gorgeous!

Our German Shepherd puppy is 14 weeks and her name is Harley, I call her Harley Bear because her paws look like bear paws, they are huge for such a small pup.

Good lord I hope not

She's a bully breed. Amstaff, APBT, something along those lines. Not positive as we haven't had DNA work done.

Chris, how is it going with Buff McPup? Be sure to keep us posted!

Going great. Every day she makes progress.

Potty training is not as easy as our first dog, but Buff has been doing pretty good. My nephew (2 years old) came by yesterday and she loved him.

She'll get the hang of potty training very soon. Buff is a cutie-pie. I hope that you do keep her. Congrats!! My Bostons sleep like that too.

Yea, we put her in a smaller crate. That seems to be helping.

Now, she's starting to go outside. Unfortunately, that means the patio, the deck, the walkways, etc. Pretty much everything BUT the grass.

Her big sister sleeps in a ball also. Though she won't let Buff McPup play with her too much right now, they are sleeping closer and closer together.

It's only a matter of time.

They'll be friends before you know it. My Bostons are almost 2 years apart. At first, Meatball didn't like the fact we got another dog. She made me feel guilty for it too. Now, they've been together almost 2 years, and they love each other. Although...they do have their spats. When we first got Meatball, we had a larger kennel, and she would go to the other end to do her thing. After getting a smaller kennel, that did the trick. She stopped going potty in it.

The Midwest crates we sell have a divider for that very reason. You can buy a larger crate for a puppy and they can grow into it.

Speaking of.....I stopped by your place in Solomons over the weekend to look for a pooper scooper.

Unfortunately, I was about 5 minutes late.

Since we clean the store every night, we usually let people in after we have closed. Sorry about that.

Oh, and congrats on the pup. Sounds like she is a keeper.

No worries, I saw 2 ladies sweeping/mopping and didn't want to bring a mess in with me.

Thanks, she's been great. Pretty laid back for a 6 month old.

Well, last night was spent in the Animal Hospital.....

She had diarrhea all day yesterday, and when I got home from work, she had puked 9 times in an hour period. She also wouldn't eat, but she did drink.

Cooked brown rice didn't work either.

Took her to the animal hospital and had Xrays done, IV fluids, overnight stay, the works.

She's got tons of gas in her abdomen, and they fear she has some sort of blockage.

This morning, we had a vet appt. anyway for both our pups, so we had her transferred to our normal vet, and they are keeping her all day and looking after her.

Exploratory surgery isn' out of the question, but she does need to be spayed, so it'd be "killing 2 birds with 1 stone" so to speak.

Sounds pretty serious; hope she is ok.

Thank you. She's in good hands. It's a bit scary, but she's a tough pup that's been through a lot.

We went through this with our first dog, 5 years ago. Seemed like she was in the vet every other week for something.

It sure as hell came on like the human flu.

It was tough watching her last night. She was really lethargic, sitting in the corner of out bathroom with her head held down.

I'd sit with her and pet her, and she's nuzzle her nose in my arm trying to fall asleep.

She ended up falling asleep on the floor of the vet's office too.
