Wonderful! We went for the first time last year and the kids had a blast! It is just so nice of him to do this for the public - a testament that the Christmas spirit is alive and well.

Anyone want to take a guess at how much is electric bill for January is?? He really does have a great light display - I'm sure the LED lights will make it even cripser and brighter. I'm sure we'll end up riding through there more than a few times this year - though I will say, we will end up 'donating' a bit toward that electric bill by letting the youngest ride those ponies. She couldn't get enough of them last year - I think we paid for about 3 seperate rides (each ride is about 3 loops around their ring I think?) and then a round of hot cocoa. Maybe we helped pay for two bulbs on the left foot of the toy soldier anyway

Oh bummer. I just read that they are closing New Year's Eve. My family is all coming for a visit over New Year's weekend and I told them we are going. My parents will be so disappointed. Too bad they didn't stay open over the New Year's weekend since New Year's is on a Friday. I completely understand though. What they do at that farm is just wonderful and such an enjoyment for the community.

Looks like I have someplace nice to take the inlaws this weekend while they're visiting. And if I play the radio loud enough.....oh well, never mind. :killingme

We haven't been there yet, sounds like they have a beautiful set up. Anyone know if there's a minumum age for a kid to ride a pony and if I could walk beside it to hold my son on it?

I know the drive through to see the lights are free, but if we go walk around the barns & such, is there a fee for anything?
Want to take the kids, but short on cash.....
Thanks!

When driving through it's also nice if people turn off their headlights and just leave on your body lights as you drive slowly through, looks even better!

:yeahthat: We put the top down on the MX-5, bundled up and cruised around a couple of times.

Evidently most cars are unable to turn their headlights off.

Took me a long time to figure out how to turn off the headlights when the key is on. With the GMC auto-on headlights, you have to press the 'dome' switch 4 times quickly. Not very intuitive......
