flimsy plastic water bottles

I got a water with my lunch today. After opening it, I picked it up to take a drink and water went everywhere because the bottle is so flimsy you can hardly hold it. Any pressure you put on it while holding causes it to cave in, thus pushing the water up and out the top. RIDICULOUS.

Oh god.

I'm getting ready to kill my rep here but I have to admit that I like thinner water bottles because they biodegrade faster in the landfills. If I were completely granola, I'd just refill my bottles with tap, but let's not get too carried away. Just handle them more gently, it's no biggie.

I don't like them either for the reason you mentioned as well as the bottom of the bottle can smush easily so it lists to one side and won't stand up unassisted. Really annoying. I've noticed they're doing the same thing with grocery bags and if you've got heavy stuff like cans, you have to double-bag to keep them from busting through the bottom, thereby defeating the purpose of using less plastic. :ohwell: I could rant on about low-flow toilets and one-ply toilet paper as well but I'll stop here.

Try this it really does work and the bottle is very sturdy.

I have stopped paying for water as of last year and it does pay for itself over a short period of time.
