Flippy helmets

I have one of these flippy helmets, but I can, and usually do, put my glasses on first. Both with this helmet and the one that just has the flip up shield.
The picture is a Nolan 102 n com. It has a flip up chin piece, sheild and sun visor. $315.

I have the same one, and updated to the N103. Got one for both me and the wife.

Modulars are noisier than full face single piece, but since I've gone modular never going back.. It's nice when it's hot out to flip up the entire front of the helmet for air.

Helmet Express has N103s for $299.

Modular, internal sunvisor, and can get internal comms built specifically for the helmet.

:yay: :yay:

My first Modular was a Caberg, switched to the NOlan N102, and found it much more quiet, and more comfortable on day long rides. The N103 seems quieter still, but it maybe because the N102 is 2 years old. I LOVED the internal visor on the Caberg, but it wasn't comfortable for me, and as soon as Nolan came out with the internal visor I was looking at getting one.

I know your all going to get on me, but I'm looking real hard at the Vega Summit II. No internal visor, but my eyeglasses are the darkening variety already.

My only comment is that it looks JUST LIKE one I got from JCWhitney. The vent on the front and the ratchet assembly are the giveaways. It was a POS. The ratchets broke after 6 months, the lining falls out of place.....

Forget taking the glasses on and off...get a helmet with an integrated sun visor. Much easier to adjust for the conditions while riding. Sun goes down, retract the tinted visor.

Holy CRAP are they way overpriced.

No way I'd buy anything from JC Whitney after seeing those prices.. If they are ripping you off in one part of the store, you can bet they're doing it on EVERYthing they sell.

Retail: $462.06 - $544.94
Our Low Price: $330.99 - $391.99
You Save: $131.07 - $152.95

$229 at Helmet Express for the N102 N-Com. $100 less then JC's SALE PRICE!!

And JC is touting a $544 REGULAR price??? :bs: MSRP is $369.

I never saw them for more than $310 at the dealers, and paid $205 for mine out of a bike shop in Annapolis..

N103 Cost me $299, and it's the new(er) model.

Okay guys, lets talk, I think both Bob and aps run flip up helmets, and the slight annoyance of taking my eyeglasses off, donning the helmet, then taking them off to doff it is getting to me. What helmets do you guys use, pro/cons.

(Not to mention, my current helmet is a sort of purple, and clashes horribly with the silver/black Strom):killingme
