Flying the flag...

Five pages and we still don't know the story behind this. I've googled and can't find anything. I'm assuming (I know, not a good thing to do) that the County feels the flag would distract from the "beautiful" :sarcasm: cake and the whole 350th birthday theme, but give me a break! Anyway, would love to know the background and what it's all about.

This is amazing -- some many claim to be Masters of spelling, however, not one of you understood the context of the original message -- which is: In the 4 places where Good Old Charles County has deemed to place these lovely cakes, they feel as though the flag is an obstruction and will detract from that great pink color.

I feel that it would be more appropriate to either let these businesses fly their American flag right next to or above the cake -- as with out that American Flag, there would be no 350th Birthday for Charles County.

There is your history lesson for today -- let's see who understands!!!! :patriot:

Because the flag would detract from the fake cake. The big pink fake cake that sits about 50 feet from the flagpole...

Did I spel n'thing rong dis' tyme?

:elaine:

 I can't find anything about a lawsuit. WTF are you talking about?

Could you start from the beginning? Who can't fly a flag? Who told them not to fly it? Why not? What litigation are you talking about?

I drove by All American today and no flag...

Flag's back up and waving in all it's glory! Noticed it yesterday morning when driving to work, but forgot to post. Guess the "myth" of their being told not to fly it was "busted"? Anyway, it makes the pink cake a little easier to look at with Old Glory in the background. :patriot:

Somebody posted in a different thread that the flag was out being repaired. That makes a whole lot more sense than whatever the idiot that started this thread was trying to imply.
