I went a few weeks ago. It was my first time there and it was a different experience. Overall, it was enjoyable but didn't leave me feeling wowed. I liked the ability to taste different things and the service was great.

I'm glad I did it but not sure I'd make it a point to go back.

Any items we should be sure to try or to skip?

Try everything that appeals to you. My only piece of advice is to not get overwhelmed and get a bunch of stuff all at once. Keep your card turned red while you're eating - if you don't, you may feel rushed.

I didn't care for the sausage, and probably thought the pork was the best - all of it was good. Not the best restaurant I've ever been to, but a lot of fun, something different and good food. Don't load up on the salad bar.

There are a lot of Brazilian Steak Houses out there and I've been to a few. FOGO is on the expensive side but there is no doubt the quality of their meat make it worth the price. We try to go once or twice a year on special occasions, usually make a weekend or at least an overnight in Baltimore. Stay at the Hilton and you can almost walk all the way to Fogo without stepping a foot out in the street.

Rhodezio Grill is Salt Lake has Rattle Snake sausage on their menu... it was good. They have the same concept but one night a week they do wild or exotic game night.

I visited the DC location. Good food, but not worth the price. Go to Lewnes in Annapolis. Muuuuuch better!

Lewnes and Fogo are not even comparable - two VERY different restaurants.

Fogo wows me. I was wowed just by their salad island. Then they started bringing around all that meat and it was like, good lord! BUT! I'm also not a "fine dining, dahling" type of person, and I like to try a bunch of different things instead of committing to one entree. Places like Charlie Palmer's and Lewnes are merely okay to me, but Fogo is where it's at.

So it depends on what you like.

I love Fogo and have been happy at both the Bmore and DC locations. The DC location is closer and very easy to get to

I am like that too. That is why I like cruising so much because I can sample as many dishes as I want eating a lot or just a taste.

We will give it a try, its on my restaurant bucket list!

I do have a question I am just wondering why the Baltimore location is $10 less per person...is there less items or something?

B more is 3 less than DC. $48.5 and $51.50. The valet parking there was $10 and at DC it was 7. DC. was easier to get to as well.

Last time I went to the one in Philly I didn't even bother with the salad bar. I guess I was feeling particularly carnivorous that day.

I've never been, I'm not much of a "meat eater" but I'd love to try it since they have so many options and the 'sides bar' looks amazing!!!

Make sure you have their menu on the table so you can ensure you're tested EVERY cut of meat available..

And don't be afraid to ask the Gaucho's to bring you what you want the way you want it cooked.. If they don't see it, they'll go get it for you.
