me too. the late games saved me, and my 5'er. I was kickin myslef for laughing at Nacho last week...was thinkin' to myself "See, this is what you get!" :whew: Gonna be a rough week for ALOT of folks I think. Be a HUGE run of luck if anybody got much more than 50% of their picks correct this week.

I did a whole lot better than I thought I was going to do I am sitting at 14 going in to tonight's game.
that's a hell of a weekend...did you take the Bengals? My first thought was to take them....13 points is a huge spread to cover no matter who you are...but the Bengals have been freaking horrible....
That is what I hate about the NFL...you have games like this weekend that make no sense what so ever....I would love to be an NFL sportscaster*....you are wrong more than the weatherman and it is ok...
edit....any sportscaster really...not just NFL are wrong more than the weather guy...but they seldom admit it...they just summarize what happened and move on to the next flawed prediction...

No I took the G-men. That was one of my losses. I thought about that pick for a long time. The deciding factor was that the Bengals have looked real bad in the games that they have played this year.
I guess they started to play this weekend.

I could not believe that game, especially at home. I think the Giants got a bit relaxed and it almost bit them.
Plus, how about those Dolphins? Who saw THAT happening?

...you know, that's the thing about the NFL; Monday morning quarterbacking, after the games are over, it's easy to look at each one and 'see', in hindsight, what was coming. I mean, the Dolphins are still looked at as this 1-15 team from last year. However, with Parcells, what is coming? Good defense. Solid running game. And the Pats are not this dominant defensive team that just happens to be able to score a few points. With Brady, they very much became the epitome of 'a good defense is a strong offense.' Without him, they are average and, really, not much more, on D.
When I make my picks I try to visualize that Monday morning and what is believable as to what would happen. The flaw in that strategery is that in the NFL, damn near anything can happen.

...I'm in no position to give anyone crap! I try to get a sure thing 5 pointer every week because that's the fundamental difference between doing well or not and I am 1 for 3 so far!
If the Skins get more than 10 points I'd think about it.
With that said, don't give me crap when I pick the Skins this coming week.
