The high schools down here in Florida have summer football practice in June, then start again in August. I'm always amazed when I drive by the schools and it's in the high 90s and those guys are out there in full gear running their asses off. But I guess that's why Florida teams do so well.

My stepkids came home from their practice last night soaked. They actually wanted to get in the shower.
They have practice again tonight.

I've been out for a couple years now but I don't EVER remember a PT session being canceled. I know it's theoretically possible but I've never seen it outside of bootcamp.

The practice is tonight @ 6. The coach called last night to remind us of the practice and to let us know it's more of a meet and greet and get to know the kids and parents since it's the first one. Bowie Coach Accused of Being a Pimp
Police say a 15-year-old girl told them a Bowie, Md., high school coach repeatedly took her to D.C. so she could work as a prostitute.
Arron J. Burroughs, 35, of Crofton, Md., is charged with first-degree child sexual abuse in the District. The Bowie High School assistant junior varsity football coach is being held without bond.
Burroughs allegedly induced the girl to work as a prostitute. Police found her engaged in a sex act with another man in Takoma Park, Md., and arrested Burroughs Monday evening at a motel on New York Avenue in Northeast. His arrest came after the girl, who was already in police custody, called him to pick her up at the motel.
Court records indicate that Burroughs, who also works as a Metrobus driver, has admitted engaging in sexual relations with the girl on several occasions since she was 14. Court records say Burroughs admitted having sex with her in his Range Rover in Metro's bus yard.
Burroughs also admitted bringing the girl to D.C. to be a prostitute and admitted supplementing his income by selling marijuana, the records indicate.

The coaches were even saying it is way too hot for practice. They think it is unsafe to be out in this heat. The steeler's have pushed their practice back. So instead of 6 we are starting at 7 and only going for an hour. Without the pads. They are going over a very light practice. At-least until Thursday. Our younger boy team opt not to practice today instead we are practicing Sat.
It was unbearable yesterday.... An I have to go back out in it today for my oldest son...

My son plays for the La Plata community league and they have canceled all practice for this evening.
