I took the ride like a pro class and am convinced it helped me today when a St. Mary's County public schools bus pulled out in front of me this afternoon. Was able to avoid a full on crash and ended up with a glancing blow that damaged my saddle bag and nothing more. Thankfully I had an escape lane and was able to use it.

ZERO doubt.

Had you taken Total Control, there'd have been NO incident.

The MSF basic courses available in the area, on base and at the community colleges, provide bikes.

FYI - Most motorcycle clutches are wet, i.e. they run in oil, so they don't burn out from slipping like a car's clutch.

We do replace a lot of levers and pegs.

Hate to disappoint you but the instructors on base and the instructor for MSF, at least the instructors at the time I took their class to ride legal on base cannot teach those technique or can perform them. I was told I was being reckless for not using the BIG they use to do the figure 8.

Knowing how to stay in the friction zone you can go slower than the average walk. The motorcycle safety rally is being planned for spring. These technique are demonstrated during the event.

We have to teach the curriculum we're contracted to teach, which is the MSF basic, advanced and sport bike classes.

You should know that aps teaches on at least two bases locally

Navy on Andrews, Anacostia, Pax, and Dahlgren also Air Force classes on Andrews.

I know at least one of our instructors has gone through the Ride Like A Pro class
