For or against tariffs?

They did this years ago in Hagerstown. The democraps in the system still call it "The Farm". I guess in the 70's they likened t o slavery so they stopped growing their own food and no more pork (shot themselves in the foot with that one). They rather fight, play cards or rot away in their cells.
Oh, now they have plenty of time to pump iron and get stronger, confer with one another tolearn new techniques of robbery, rape and murder for when they get out.

I remember small farms. My father owned one. It was a Tobacco farm.
Tobacco was the money crop in Maryland. A man with a few acres of tobacco could raise his family off of it.
A lot of them did. We grew Tobacco, we had a large garden a few hogs and a couple of beefs.
We ate pretty damned good.
But of course Tobacco caused Cancer they said, so they paid tobacco farmer not to grow it for ten years, and after that the barns fell down, the tractor were worn out or left to rust along with the machinery involved in farming. So what we have now is the land leased out to the big boys, and the small farmers who used to show up at the firehouse as volunteers are working on the base, driving trucks , working in DC or for the State Road, they aren't home any more when the siren blows. The small farms are all being sold if the land they are on will perk, and the come-downers are living on them. It was a good life that is . Gone with the Wind.

But now we have a new agriculture. Growing pot in a 50,000 square foot building. It smells like a skunk growing farm without the manure. They hire lots of people for low wages, and of course they call it medicine now. No youngsters helping dad grow things, no more money crop, damned little canning or growing our own meat, now we are a bedroom community with people leaving in the morning and coming home at night, and we have to pay people to ride the ambulance and we have to send 7 companies on a fire to get a full crew there, because no one is home during the day, except old retired folks who still remember the old days.

Funny. It's not the tobacco itself that causes cancer, but the thousands of added chemicals in manufactured cigarettes that do. Nicotine has been proven to have medicinal benefits such as for treating Alzheimer's Disease, Parkinson's Disease, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, wound healing by
promoting blood vessel growth to enhance wound healing and pain management, depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Cancer prevention. Anything that is good and natural for the people to use on their own is always vilified by the pharmaceutical industry, since they can't patent nicotine.

Tariffs are stupid. Every other country will just put tariffs back on us. They will also band together to exclude us from trade just like Japan, China dn korea are doing now and Europe and Canada will soon do.

Trump is a moron and almost all economists agree they are a bad idea and will raises prices and slow the GDP.

..... for your reading pleasure..... Only 197 counties... gee, he miscounted a few.

What do you think this shows?

Because it certainly not countries that have Tariffs on US goods.

Considering the US is listed on here. You think we tariff our own products to ourselves?

This is a list of countries that charge some type of tariff but it doesn't mean they all charge the US

Please do better

It shows what other counties set as tariffs, it isn't that hard to understand. Do better yourself

Back on February 25, the Office of the United States Trade Representative published in the Federal Register a request for public comments on reviewing and identifying any unfair trade practices by other countries. The register notice specified, “USTR is particularly interested in submissions related to the largest trading economies, such as G20 countries, as well as those economies that have the largest trade deficits in goods with the United States, including Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Türkiye, United Kingdom, and Vietnam. These countries cover 88 percent of total goods trade with the United States.”

Australia: “Since July 2018, GST [Goods and Services Tax] of 10 percent applies to sales of low value imported goods to consumers.”
Brazil: “Imports are subject to several taxes and fees in Brazil, which are usually paid during the customs clearance process. There are three taxes that account for the bulk of import costs: Import Duty, Industrialized Product tax, and Merchandise and Service Circulation tax. In addition to these taxes, several smaller taxes and fees apply to imports. Note that most taxes are calculated on a cumulative basis.”
Canada: “U.S. companies shipping to Canada should be aware that Canada’s de minimis threshold is Canadian $40 (approximately US $31) for taxes and Canadian $150 (approximately US $116.50) for duties. By comparison, in March 2016, the United States raised its de minimis threshold from US $200 to US $800. Some stakeholders, particularly shipping companies and online retailers, maintain that Canada’s low de minimis threshold creates an unnecessary trade barrier.”
