Former toeheads........

Lots of kids start out as blondes or towheads, and eventually their hair turns dark. At what age did you (or your childrens) hair start to become darker?

My son's hair was black when he was born and now he is a towhead. His hair turned blonde the summer of his first year, he was 7 months.

Oldest was born bald. Once he got hair, it was really blonde/white. Now it's a darker blonde (age 8) but hard to tell because he has a buzz cut 90% of the time. Youngest was born with a full head of dark hair (oh the heart-burn from that!). First hair-cut before age 1 made his hair turn blonde for a few years. Now it's darkening back up (age 5).

My hair was really light blonde. It started getting darker when I hit my 30's. Now I don't know what color it is naturally. My sister's hair is the same way.

Now my brother, on the other hand, was a real toe-head. His hair was really blonde (almost white) as a kid. Now that he's older, his hair is much thinner than it was, but it's still the same color. :truetoehead:

I remember you having really really white hair. I could never decide who had lighter hair - you or my brother.

At the rate my hair is going another 10 years and it will be white again and the cycle will be complete.:killingme

My oldest daughter was born with platinum blonde hair, my son was born with black hair. I am a natural blonde, their father had very dark blonde/very light brown hair. My oldest daughter's hair is still blonde, my son's is light brown with blonde highlights.

My youngest daughter's father has almost black hair, however he was a towhead blonde as a child. Our daughter's hair is still blonde, she'll be 4 next month. I would have thought I'd be seeing some color change by now, but it looks like the average age for it to change is around 8 or so. I was sooooo hoping that by her still having blonde hair at 4 it would stay that way.

Hubby had very blonde hair as a child, then when he was about 7 or 8 it started getting darker. Now he's got brown hair. Boy (who looks just like D as a kid) also had very blonde hair. He's 6 and it started gettin darker recently. Girlie is the same way...hers was lighter than it is now. She told me the other day her hair isn't "yellow" anymore.

My son is 27 & my son-in-law is 28 and they are both still tow-heads. My girls changed hair color at about 10 years old to a more golden blond w/highlights and are now 25 & 21

I was blond most of my childhood. It started to turn to light brown around 11 or 12 and reached its current dark brown by college but when I was younger it was almost white. When I went back to visit my old town, the neighbors asked "weren't you blond?".

You'd never guess that about my hair now.
