Aww thanks Kain you always know just what to say but I can't... :frown: My baby girl Possum (Sage's daughter) had a litter of kittens on good friday, as usual I get attached and today is the day they turn 8 weeks and find homes. Tonight I found one of my babies strangled in my pillow case, wasn't sure if it strangled to death or suffocated... I just keep thinking, if only I was home earlier, or something. And here I was worried about the kitten that was running around pulling and chewing cords. The bed and pillow lover kitten I thought was safe. I'd never heard of such a thing before and I've been :crying: all night and just CANT sleep where he'd died hours earlier.. The pillow case was soo tight I had to use scissors to cut it up and off from around his neck.. :bawl:

Thanks :frown: I feel sick to my stomach. It was a complete kick in the gut. :frown: I already threw the pillow case away and the pillow. :frown: There's NO WAY I'd be able to ever sleep on it again and have pleasant dreams or anything. :frown: I just feel terrible and keep thinking what that poor little guy must have been going through... :bawl:

:yeahthat: It can easily happen at any time to any thing. It was a terrible accident that couldn't have been prevented. You cannot protect your animals from everything in the world.

Who would have thought a pillowcase could be deadly? Nobody, so quit beating yourself up over it. Grieve for the loss of your precious baby, but don't internalize it as somehow being your fault. It wasn't. :huggy:

Thanks, I'll try. It was one of those pillow cases that opens in the middle and you squish the left side of the pillow in and then the right (or maybe the other way around) but he got in where there was some slack and completely got caught up in it. Then I was mad at the dog, didn't she hear it crying? Couldn't she have tried to shake the pillow or something? She loves babies. But it's know one's fault. I guess the Lord just wanted him. The Lord might of said... OK! Today he is 8 weeks old to the day... Time for him to go to heaven and be with him or something. Noone knows, but it sure does SUCK. :frown:

:poorbaby: I'm so sorry, Dems. I can't even imagine. :bawl: You didn't do anything wrong so don't beat yourself up about it. Everyone knows you're a good mommy. :huggy:

Thanks for your support, Kain, KJO and Jazz and others via pm. I'll be alright, it just sucks. :bawl: I miss that fluffy fat headed kitten. I felt soo bad and held him for a while before burying him out in the rain. :frown: But there was "closure" I just feel like crap. I do have my faith that things happen for a reason, even though I may not know it... I believe it just does. :huggy: Maybe its so I can post on here like I am tonight to let others know.... a pillow case, who would have thunketh? And here I was worried about dipping cords in hotsauce to keep them from biting them. :frown:

I pulled a Sadaam last night & rigged the official Rooster elections thus preventing my esteemed opponent, colleague and friend, MainMan, from participating in a fair election. In an effort to become a kindler, gentler forumite, and right the wrong, I have added his name to the ballot and edited the below post.

:edited:

Well lemme tell ya sumptin Mr. goober, I wish I was the rooster of these here parts, and if you don't behave, I'll blow grass on the neighbors lawn (kinder/gentler). :lmao: Who do you think you are comming in here, quoting rules to regulars anyway???

Hey you know about the hens?? :jet: Have you applied to their private forum?

Hot & bothered over you?? :killingme Yea, right!!

You have "some things" explained to you, not "somethings".

"Ponce" in here?? What am I? A city in San Juan?? Did you mean "pounce"?? If you did, it still wouldn't be appropriate. See how I used the correct word "prance"??

No I will not ignore you. :nono: I am here to antagonize all the mouthy, newbie, dolts who we hope later become our friends (kinder/gentler) that prance in like they own the place. It is my destiny.

I hope you're not leaving us. People like you should not be (kindler, gentler again) fodder for our jokes.

P.S. Pooh & Tigger's Corner is hiring!! :patriot: :patriot: :patriot: :patriot:
:Bump:

It's no secret I am a big nascar fan. Nascar is the fastest growing sport in the world. This is because they are flexible with their rules. In an effort to help this become the fastest growing board in the world, I would like to recommend some modifications to the rules (for the betterment of the board).

No sexually explicit language, avatars or smilies (i.e. the 7 dirty words not allowed on radio).

No pornographic material or links (these should be PM'd privately).

No threatening your fellow forum members with physical violence (unless they ask for and deserve it).

No abusive or obscene karma comments (unless the member enjoys and/or requests obscene karma).

No harrassing other members via PM (There's no fun in this anyway).

No foul language. If you wouldn't say it in front of your mother, don't say it here (i.e. the 7 dirty words not allowed on radio).

No personal attacks. If you're having a heated disagreement with another member, that's one thing. But there's no need to bring their wife, mother, daughter, etc. into it. Agreed

No flaming the newbies. This should be a friendly and welcoming environment for new members, not a trial by fire. Note to newbies: Please read this board for at least 15 to 20 days before posting. Get to know who the regulars are and what their sense of humor and personality is. Learn which threads/members to avoid AND AVOID THEM!!! Do not:nono:expose yourself to humiliation. HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR!!! Do not:nono:take ANYTHING in here personally or seriously. Use proper spelling and grammar!! We all know the allowable internet shortcuts. We won't:nono:accept your excuse that you're lazy. "I" is always capitalized!! Once accepted, you can get away with some poor grammar. If you follow this advice, your experience will be much more enjoyable. :yay:

Mr. Rooster, Seems to be I'm not the only one who needs to do a spell check before hitting that submit button. Not only in your reply to me, other post, too....jus sayin.

I have more I'd like to say, but at the moment I have that need, want, for coffee. *Arnold voice* I'll be back.

Oh! ------> "Mr." ? :killingme

*Calms down* What brings you to this conclusion?

And if I've misspelled, frankly I don't give a tick. Stop picking on people for they're spelling mistakes....(unless you are God, and all so perfect of course.

*Picturing how many post to come while I step away to make coffee*
