I just picked up a young looking female beagle. Looks to be purebred and very malnourished. It was in redgate area. I can post pictures once I get to a computer. I have an appointment for another dog at 3 so I'm taking her with me to get checked out and scanned for a chip.

Very friendly. She's had at least one litter.

Thanks for picking her up. Looks like a total sweetheart.
Wish we could help but there's 6 beagles here at the moment.

I think I know of someone to foster her... till her home is found ..or she finds a home. :buddies:

If you can not find someone to foster her I will do it. I can't stand to see all the beagles they send to the shelter, and you just know sooo many get put down :bawl: and they are the bestest laziest loves.

Just got her checked out. Our vet thinks she had a litter in the past two weeks. She's coverd in fleas and was just given a pill to kill the live ones in 24 hours. Well give her a bath today. She also has hook worms. She's under a year old. Our vet thinks the puppies are either dead from the fleas or she abandoned them for some reason.

She's also good with cats, which I unfortunately found out before knowing she has fleas. My cat gets a treatment tonight.

Very sweet pup..has really good car manners and a sweet disposition. She hopped in the seat and immediately stuck her head in my work bag and pulled out the half a bag of pepperoni I had in there..:killingme I didn't want to grab something from an unfamiliar dog so I talked to her and patted her and slowly reached for it..she let me have it, no problem at all. She rode great and pawed and cried when we were almost home to let me know she needed to potty..so she may be housebroken..we'll see. She wolfed down her food and a gallon of water and is currently quarantined in the bathroom due to the fleas and worms. (I also potty her in a lot next to the house where my own dog has no acccess. All in all she seems lovely and hungry and when she gets some meat on her bones and a little love she will be a lovely pet, im sure.

I welcome advice about getting her better..I will continue to post her as found around the county and then from there hopefully find her a great home. If no one claims her I can get her first round of shots, and likely a spay. Hopefully we can get her somewhere good, she's so cute.

Thanks so much for taking her! I kept her in my office for a few hours today and she whined a little to let me know she needed to go out. So I think she is for the most part housebroken. She also did really well while we gave her a bath. She started to whine toward the end because she was getting cold but she didn't fight too hard to get out.

Our Vet had us bathe her using dawn and then conditioner so she didn't dry out, if you think she'll need another. If you need help with anything, let me know. I'll keep looking out for her owners as well, but like you said, from the looks of her, it doesn't seem like anyone is missing her.

Im prettty sure she's housetrained..sat by my feet and stared at me and whined, I took her out and she did her business right away..but she seems very uneasy sometimes..when we were outside..she kept walking around whining back and forth like she was looking for something..her puppies maybe?does that happen? Anyway I hope she settles down and gets some rest, poor thing.

oooh no. I would LOVE to keep her, shes a sweetie. But I still have the beast to contend with :frown: SO's cousin was going to take him to their huge farm in davidsonville, btu soemthing came up. SOOO I am still battling him daily. thus sweet girl must find a better forever home :bawl:








Rescue folks..any openings anywhere? I can keep her for awhile and can certainly help get her deflead, fattened up and worm free and shots and probably a spay but I don't have the resources to find her a great home like the rescues do..any spots available for an easy place doggie? Or curtosy posts on websites and petfinder? maybe a foster who can work with her more than I can and take her to adoption events? I will still kick int o help cover her costs, but I'd like her to find a great home, she deserves it, it looks like shes been through the wringer

fenced in yard, with two great kids to spoil her!!! and a mom and dad to love her just as much!!!

they will be moved in to their new place in a few weeks!!!


they have been waiting to find a sweet pup for a while!!!

they know she needs spayed and shots!! and are ready for it!

That's such good news if it all goes through! She's an awesome pup. I fell in love with her in the 6 hours that I had her.. I know they will too! Glad to hear they'll have a fenced in yard. That nose of her's is trouble! Thanks so much :huggy:
