Sweet, noon it is. Does the wawa at 235 and 4 work for you?

She completed her worm treatment, and thus far I have seen no other symptoms (diahrrea, visible worms, etc) The vet may want to recheck, but usually the treatments do their job. As for the fleas, I have seen one or two, but only every once in awhile. So she probably still has a few. A good idea would be to pick up some advantage or frontline (whatever one is the one that works, soemone can chime in) and be ready to treat her before taking her home. I will give her a good bath sat night/sun morning in order to rid her of any that may be hiding. Unfortunately it hasnt been cold enough lately to kill them all off so I wouldn't take any chances. She has put on weight since I got her, and now is looking really good and way less emaciated. She is getting her energy and curiosity back, and her post puppy swelling is pretty much gone and she looks like a new dog. I can't wait to see her with a little more weight, and a house to call her own. She is, I should warn you, like every beagle I have ever come in contact with, a chewer. Make sure you have bones and chewy things for her. I accidently left the measuring scoop for her food in with her at night..by morning it was toast..lol.

You could also stop by a vet and ask for a tablet of capstar to give her. Capstar will kill all fleas on a dog within a half hour or so. You will need her approximate weight when asking the vet for the pill.

Good luck with your newest addition!!!!:yahoo:

I went to vet last night and they didn't suggest that to me. I did get frontline plus though. I will call them today and see if I can get that. Thanks for the info !

I was wondering about this stuff I ordered to try: OmniTrol Spot-On For Dogs Plus IGR - I was looking for an alternative to the high priced Frontline or K9-Advantix I had been using on the dogs. I used Bio-Spot in the past too but I don't think that works as well as the higher priced alternatives. I have been trying to find something less toxic and less pricey to use on the critters.

She had a capstar when I first got her, but it only kills the live fleas, the eggs stay alive and well to hatch again. Last night I looked for awhile and didn't see any, and I will give her a good bath in case. I don't think you can do the capstar and frontline at the same time? Either way, the frontline is the way to go to make sure theres no sneaky eggs hiding. But my kitty was flea INFESTED when I first got him, and a capstar and a damn bath and I never saw anymore.

Those 2 female barn kittens I had processed a couple months ago were heavily infested per Humane Society, so I had them Frontline them both the day of the spay surgeries. I still have those 2 girls, and if I can get Foxy, Joey, and the 2 boy buddies placed, I can work more with the barn kitties to friendly them up. I would like to see them go on to be someone's house cats if possible, even of they end up being indoor/outdoor. The calico is far more friendly than the gray one (reminds of a Russian blue).

The vet used Capstar on Foxy the day I picked him up. Speaking of, it's time for another round of Frontline on the cats. Note to self .....
