I "think" you can give them both Frontline and capstar at the same time! I didnt know it didnt work on eggs....I am just a freak about fleas and ticks lol. I do know it works on live fleas........

She has been home for about 3 hours now and we are loving it! We had a little doggie nap on the couch, trimmed her nails, ran outside and had a walk. Her finally name is Marley. She is so loving and loves to snuggle. I am so glad we adopted her. I cant thank all the people involved who made this possible. Thank you so much. :buddies:

On Monday I notice some light colored blood coming from Marley. After talking with IcIt she informed me she might have pyomertra(sp) which is very fatal. She gave me the name of a great Vet Doc. Dr. Bennodict. I hope I spelled that right in charolette hall. I got in today and the confirmed she has the very early stage of an open pyomerta. We are very lucky to catch it so early. Marley will be spayed, given all shots and microchipped today. The whole office was really sweet. Dr. B is the BEST! I cant wait to pick my sweet cuddlebug. Thank you so much IcIt if it wasn't for you I would of waited to long.

oh poor thing! She had some discharge when I first got her, but I attributed it to her having puppies really recently and then it stopped..good catch ICit!! Good thing she got her spay and everything..hopefully she is good to go now! poor thing was just too young to be having pups like that :huggy: I am happy she has such a good home, I shudder to think about her sweet little face out on the streets probably dying. ugh. when shes healed up and fat you def have to post some pics for us :)

THAT'S 2 GREAT HOMES FOR 2 GREAT DOGS IN 1 WEEK...

Now let's see if Boxy can't find a home !!!

Would be great wouldn't it? I was hoping by me posting ALL of the facets of Boxy's personality that I would awaken the "dog trainer" in someone who would work with him on some if his less desired traits, but so far that hasn't happened.

He's not ready for a family with children, and may never be due to his dominant personality. He will need a firm human in his life that has experience with dogs that are dominant.

Does not chew or tear up anything. Will go outside to potty in any type of weather without a problem (my dog sees rain and tries to run back in the house LOL), Boxy is well mannered and will wait until you say he can eat his food to go to it. He is also polite about getting into bed, i.e. if you are in the room or in bed he will "ask permission" to get on the bed. If you say no or ignore him he will sleep on the floor. He will whine when he wants to go out to potty (or to play lol). Very gentle when accepting treats from your hand (although he only takes treats if he knows you well). Very well housebroken. Boxy is VERY SMART!

Boxy can sit, down, stay, wait, stop, shake, roll over, and who knows what else? I'm sure someone who trains dogs can easily discover what else he knows. Boxy has so many great qualities that his few issues can be something to work though with the right person in his life.

Boxy won't be an easy placement, and his ideal home would be with someone who is proficient in handling dominant dogs, and/or to a trainer as a foster who can prepare him for an adoptive home.

I believe in being up front with people about critters. Honesty about issues can prevent a pet ending up at the shelter later, or being returned. I don't have a lot of experience with training dominant dogs, so he's not getting much from me other than a place to be while I find the right place for him.

I can't believe we have had Marley a year. We picked her up on January 30,2012 and we are going to celebrate then because she was finally in our home. I can't thank everyone enough for finding her. She has come a long way and has her daddy wrapped around her finger.
