You might want to go ahead and fill out an application with SMAWL just in case they want it as documentation of a foster so the cats are all sure to get spayed and neutered.

Hi Luckystar! I'm not sure of how SMAWL works but for SHR as a foster, I call and schedule the spay/neuters when the time is ready at the vet they use. I just tell them I foster for SHR and they send bills to them directly. The account with the rescue is already set up as I am sure SMAWL has the same. I just transport and take care of them until they heal and hopefully have a family waiting for them.

Isn't he CUTE? They're from the same litter. I couldn't have been happier working with SouthernMdRocks and Second Hope Rescue. SMAWL is a great organization too, they're who I'm working with to get Friday and her litter homes.

I'm glad to see everything seems to be falling into place for Friday and her kittens, too. Wish I could take her but we already have one cat and a dog, as well as a baby on the way. Not a good time here for a new pet.

She has already totally acclimated herself to the household. I LOVE her!

She has scoped out the whole house, started playing with some sort of windsock thing made out of ribbon that hangs from Bug's window. I told her to take it down and put it on the shelf in the closet so they could go to sleep. I have already caught her up on the kitchen table too.

She has twice use her litter box and the smell of wet cat food, I had forgotten about that.

YUCK! All of my mom's cat always ate the canned stuff. Thankfully Meow was raised on dry food and I never switched when I adopted him.

She was awesome. Quiet as a church mouse except when I took my fingers out of the cage. Put them back and she was perfect. When I took Bug's BFF home, her Mom even came out to see her and held her. Not a peep. She even played with a ribbon when we got home. I stopped Bug because of how our exit interview went. :nomoreplaynofair!:
