He's a cutie, if he is your's PM me. He was running up the middle of Asher Rd. Has a collar. He's very friendly, jumped right into the vehicle when the door was open.
Aw! What a sweet face! He looks like he knows he was out and about and up to no good...

oohhhh and called Tri-county to see in anyone has reported their dog of that type missing?
but oh well... I could only hope if mine were missing someone would do everything they could to get them back....
but on the flip side... I as the one with the missing dog would have placed flyers up, at all intersections in and out of country lakes.... along the main rd., at all local vets, called tri county.
and also stop to think... Amish is around there also... (but this nails are toooo long .. he looks like they have never seen the outside!)
The good thing is that he wasn't hit by a car and someone was nice enough to find him and take care of him ... it isn't about the dogs nails!!! The dog is safe and now it's just a matter of locating an owner, if there is one that gives a damn.
right.... gave her ideas how to TRY to locate owners.... if she want to keep it.. great for the dog, but do more than post in the dang forum
I was not the only one that noticed the nails.... this makes me think he was an inside ONLY dog. hence nail dont see rough surface much .. unlike most Amish dogs that are outside and do wear their nails down.
It would be great for him to have a home that would care for him... but be fair to who may own him. For all we know it could be an older person not capable of placing flyers.
Or it could be some negligent person or someone who dumped the dog.

I think I love you. In fact, I KNOW that I love you.Dear ICit, blow me.
You are more than welcome to come get the dog and do the leg work to find the owner.
I have a large sign at the top of my driveway stating that I've found a dog. I'm sorry, but I am not going out of my way to post flyers all over the neighborhood. It is not my duty to find the owners, it is the duty of the owners to look for their dog. And yes, I already have plans to have him checked for a chip. Again, not going out of my way to rush up to the vet to have him scanned. My other dog has an appointment this week and was going to bring him along.
You can sit there and speculate until the cows come home about how the dog wound up running up the middle of a busy street. It really doesn't matter to me one way or the other. It happens. If the owners find him fine, if they don't that is fine as well. I certainly won't be dropping him off at the pound.
It is absolutely ridiculous to turn this whole thing into some huge drama. There needn't be any. The dog is fine and if the owners are distraught and miss him, then they will put out the effort to find him.

Maybe...maybe...maybe.. the owner is an invalid and the dog is a trained companion who retrieves food and medicine since the disabled veteran is confined to a broken wheelchair the VA gave him because they are underfunded and and and maybe the disabled invalid is crushed because his only friend in the world was scared off by a renegade squirrel that made the dog bolt out of the house and and now the guy has to txt message friends to help him out using an old flip phone and a pencil held between his teeth and and and it looks like this........."h3lp m i hav fall cant g3t up dog runed off n33d pill
