Here is a great picture of what I'm envisioning for the foyer. :yay:

And another ... but I'm still keen on a more slate color for the walls. I'm digging the ceiling stencil in the second pic, too.
old Mediterranean style nekkid lady fountain and it's complete... :yay:

But wait, there's more...
Phase 1 -- Repaint

The new paint really isn't that much darker than the original creme/taupe color. Once I redo the stairs and banisters with black stain, it's gonna look modern-fab. :yay:

I think it looks great. I can't wait to see the black.

All your paint talk and things falling into place has me repainting my bedroom accent wall from Plum to Mushroom and ordering a duvet, shams and carpet :lmao: I found exactly what I wanted online today.

Please, no more decorating when warm weather gets here

Very pretty, Crabby! We're in the middle of some new flooring in the master bathroom. Day is working on the last part around the toilet. So far I love it!!

Very nice! :yay: I've been looking at colors to paint my master bathroom, which has raspberry fixtures and a grey color in the flooring and a light silver-grey would look great in there. Thanks - I think you just inspired me.

I think so, too. I'm tired of all white walls and want to do something in there without it becoming too many shades of red and pink, nor being so dark it would look cavelike.

Painting party at Jazz's house.

Your hallway & foyer look awesome! I was going to keep mine white because I was hesitant to do otherwise but now I'm motivated to paint them. I thank you (my DH doesn't).

If it's any help, I went with Valspar's Woodlawn Colonial Gray (Lowes) for my foyer and kitchen. We finished the kitchen and trim yesterday (before our stint in the ER :duh:) ... when we re-hang the doors today, I'll take pictures.

I'd think that pinks/reds would rock with that gray color! I keep thinking of a pomegranite accent/punch color for my hall. :yay:

I think a lot of people tend to stick to white because they're afraid of color ... but it's just paint. If it doesn't work, it's relatively easy and cheap to change/fix it. Good luck! :yay:

And you won't hear me biatching when I flip this house in a few years and make even more bank on it. Besides, I was inspired ... and the shiat looks pretty damn good, if I do say so myself! :neener:

My stance is this -- If you own a home, you should always be doing something to improve/modernize it because you never know when you're gonna need to slap that puppy on the market. I'd rather be doing it gradually than have some big long list of fix-ups to do come sale time.
