we went to a showing of "grease" out on the lawn of CSM last month that was free. They said they will be doing it again over the summer with different movies. The kids had alot of fun. They had popcorn and lots of other snacks for sale. We stopped and got dinner and had a picnic, it was great.

We did it last year too and the oldest complained as much as our 2 year old. The 3 and 4 year old did the best :lmao:

I was going to suggest we take the all the kiddos one day.. but nah daddy has to be with us.. he ends up carrying at least 1 of the 3 on the way back

Do kids stil have fun playing the simple things like tag or hide n' seek or even hopscotch w/sidewalk chalk?

(or do they just use the chalk to outline each other when playing cops and robbers, er... I mean po-po and gangstahs?) :lmao:

We used to play kickball in the yard with the neighbor kids. Free.

fire fly hunting is a big favorite here. And water balloon tosses.

We go to the beach. Free.

I heard their is a new chalk... 3D Chalk. Haven't seen it myself but my friend says it's awesome. We used to let the kids take chalk to Anne Marie Gardens but they don't allow it anymore :( It's a great place to ride bikes for the kids though.

Youngest found a lightening bug a week or so ago.. She was so happy to see them!

While back they did the mud pie thing in the pouring rain. OMG they were a mess but they had so much fun.

The Leonardtown branch of CSM has free music in the park on Tuesday nights... their website has the music line-up.

Holy Crapamole. Do you have me on iggy?

It is funny, when I meet up with other parents, we often mention fun things to do, and where to take kids in the summer. Possibly doing things with them that we don't get time to do during the school year. Half the time someone mentions something I have not heard of or vise a versa  With all the parents on these boards, I figured a thread like this could be a nice resource. My kids get out of bed and head outside (with me) We suck every bit of summer fun out of every day. I also try and plan one thing special or extra a day, whether that is the beach, the library for a program, or a stroll in a park ending in a playground.
