Holy Crapamole. Do you have me on iggy?

It is funny, when I meet up with other parents, we often mention fun things to do, and where to take kids in the summer. Possibly doing things with them that we don't get time to do during the school year. Half the time someone mentions something I have not heard of or vise a versa  With all the parents on these boards, I figured a thread like this could be a nice resource. My kids get out of bed and head outside (with me) We suck every bit of summer fun out of every day. I also try and plan one thing special or extra a day, whether that is the beach, the library for a program, or a stroll in a park ending in a playground.

no.......I don't have anyone on iggy.:huggy:

I agree, kids need to get outside as much as possible, enjoying their youth, and all the neat things nature provides us.

I heard their is a new chalk... 3D Chalk. Haven't seen it myself but my friend says it's awesome. We used to let the kids take chalk to Anne Marie Gardens but they don't allow it anymore :( It's a great place to ride bikes for the kids though.

It's really just glasses that you look at the chalk with. It works with any chalk. It's not the chalk that's special. With the glasses on, each color looks like it's a different distance away, so it looks 3D.

Have you been playing with it?

Seriously though is that all? We have tons of glasses laying around here.

If you are up for a field trip... take them to the Clearwater Nature Center in Clinton, Maryland... My gosh how I love that place... it's beautiful, has nature trails and lots of hands on things you and your kids will love.

spank you :huggy:
Man I love that place. Mom used to take us there all the time when we were kids. When I had kids of my own, I decided to take them there to see if it was as fascinating as I remembered... it was. I was a kid all over again that day.

We have a family membership to the Calvert Marine Museum. It's nice to be able to stop in any time I need to occupy the kids for an hour. It's also a great rainy day "get out of the house" activity.

My kids love that place, I am suprised they are not bored with it.

Happy Camper!
Can you push a stroller on the Calvert Cliffs trail to the beach? This might be fun - the kids had a blast last weekend at Westmoreland.
