And if she were selling it you'd be all uptight because she's trying to make money off of it.

As far as her not having time for it, perhaps you ignore your pets and never play with them or walk them but others actually spend time with theirs. Or it's possible that you ignore your child or husband in favor of the pet - who knows? Most of us only have so many hours in the day and those hours get allocated in order of priority. Her priority is her children, which normal people feel is appropriate. Your mileage may vary.

Well, I guess I am such a bad mom, wife and pet owner! I a board member on my son's PTA, I am a volunteer room mom once a week, I go on each and every field trip they take with his school, I go over my son's homework with him nightly, take him to his football games every saturday in Spring and Fall. Take him to boxing classes 2 days a week and all of his extra circular activities, i.e, he has another birthday party to attend today and my husband takes my son to Tak Wan Do classes two days a week.

As for my husband, we spend much quality time together and with our friends. We have date night once a week, we take several weekend trips together including one this upcoming weekend and the following weekend, we take 2 10 day vacations every summer and winter break as family together yearly. For each trip we take out of town, I have a house/dog sitter that comes and stays at my home from the moment they get off work until the moment we get home, so my pets are taken care of!

While I do not take my dogs out for 4 walks a day, we have over 6 acres and when they need to go out, they have that option and have all the free run in the world at their beck and call. So no I do not walk them, but I do play with them.....its not to hard to play tug a war or throw a ball for fifteen minutes every couple of hours, my dogs are usually ready to stop after that! Not to mention I volunteer with a animal rescue and amazingly find time for that! Oh yeah and I work full time in DC, which adds at minimum a hour each way commute to work which cuts out of my day!

My priority is my family first, but to be sure that my other priorities do not get pushed to the side, do i lack sleep, YES.....but you know what, I wouldnt change my life for anything in the world because I am strong enough to balance all of my life and not push anyone or anything to the back burner to do it!

Animals are forever, not until you get a husband, new job, baby etc.
Sorry we disagree, but you have your opinion and I have mine!

All the mean people busting on her probably ran her off. Now the dog will go to the shelter and be "adopted" by a Chinese restaurant owner.

Nice work, animal nutties! :yay:

Maybe she is too busy with her twins....ever think of that?

You seriously just let your dogs run loose?

No, we have a fence in the back yard.

A fenced in 6 acre back yard? Don't you worry that they'll get out or some other animal will get over the fence and attack them? I mean, how do you patrol 6 acres to keep an eye on the dogs and keep them safe while they're running loose?

And maybe the lady with twins doesn't have 6 acres or a fenced yard.

Well if she doesn't have 6 acres of fenced yard she shouldn't even be having a dog. If you can't take care of it, you shouldn't get it.

Right, Dawn?

I walk my dogs right to the sliding glass door and tell them to go outside to play. I also walk them to the door and tell them to go out and potty. I am a bad dog mommy!

I'm worse. I have a doggy door, although I have taken it out during this cold snap, it isn't very energy effecient, so I'm having to feel the pain of actually getting up and letting them out. If Spring doesn't arrive soon I may have six dogs that need to go to a loving home. :jet:

No, we have a fence in the back yard.

You know, sometimes admitting you are in over your head is the brave thing to do. This woman tried to do the right thing - she admitted she was not able to care for the dog as needed and tried to find it a good home. Your decision to attack her may have cost the dog a good home and put it into the shelter or worse.

Before you get holier than thou think about your impact.

At least when the kid gets to be 5 or 6 years old he can fetch a bowl of cereal for himself. Try teaching the dog to do that. :ohwell:

Sorry we disagree, but you have your opinion and I have mine!

Please continue, I feel like there is so much more of your life story that you are leaving out. Like your income level, credit rating, favorite brand of tampons, etc.
