Any scripture verses that you use to support this?Fred Hoeck said:Free Will
Somewhat, but I'm more interested in a Christian's perspective. Your above conclusion, while logical, offers no proof either way. However, a Christian, with the inerrant Word of God, can surely prove to me one way or the other.vraiblonde said:Finally, something worthwhile out of you.
I, personally, don't believe in God but I do believe in a form of predestination. That is, you are predestined to a certain path, unless you let your free will get in the way and derail yourself. For example:
Denise is a very talented artist - always has been and this is something she was born with. She is predestined to use her gift to earn a living or just simply make the world a better place. Unfortunately, Denise made a series of poor choices in her early adulthood, and now she is a single mother of 6, selling her body to support her crack habit and the only thing she draws now is flies.
Does that make sense?
HAH! I almost beat you to it.slotted said:Somewhat, but I'm more interested in a Christian's perspective. Your above conclusion, while logical, offers no proof either way. However, a Christian, with the inerrant Word of God, can surely prove to me one way or the other.
Slotted, I suggest you have Vrai change your username to "theSeeker" because I don't think I've ever seen anyone wanting to be given a reason to "believe" as much as you seem to want it.vraiblonde said:HAH! I almost beat you to it.
I guess everyone has forgotten about one of my very first threads.kwillia said:Slotted, I suggest you have Vrai change your username to "theSeeker" because I don't think I've ever seen anyone wanting to be given a reason to "believe" as much as you seem to want it.

Fred Hoeck can't possibly be the only Christian on here with a view on this, can he?Fred Hoeck said:Free Will
When you play "gotcha" with people and ask them questions so that you can go "HA!" and tell them they're wrong, they will stop conversing with you.slotted said:Fred Hoeck can't possibly be the only Christian on here with a view on this, can he?
Can't seem to shut you up though.vraiblonde said:When you play "gotcha" with people and ask them questions so that you can go "HA!" and tell them they're wrong, they will stop conversing with you.
That's because I'm not particularly offended by you. I have no religion, so your barbs don't affect me. You'll have to try a different tack.slotted said:Can't seem to shut you up though.
That's the good part. I don't have to prove anything. I believe in God and don't have to say anything or do anything to prove his exsistence. :shrug:slotted said:Somewhat, but I'm more interested in a Christian's perspective.
