Wife would be just as happy, if you wait til everything goes and she comes home from work and sees her. She loves animals the more the merrier...

She is skinny. She was the runt of the litter so she's small anyways. I feed her twice a day, two big bowls and she eats when she wants basically but I'm sure with more excercise and excitement she'll eat a lot more.

Our Lab is 13 years old, she is doing very well now but, I know the time is near.
And she taught our 4 year old Golden.

Bringing in a new pet, I feel, will learn from your current pets. Training is a little easier, but every pet is different.

It's almost like they know they have to teach another young one and I thought it made them feel like they were still needed for a job. I have watched the transistion in our house of teaching them what window to watch the yard from etc. Our older one (14) now expects the younger one to stay on guard while he takes the couch for his day long nap!
