The best thing you could ever do for your pup (black lap), is get him/her a companion.

Our Lab is 13 years old, she is doing very well now but, I know the time is near.
And she taught our 4 year old Golden.

Bringing in a new pet, I feel, will learn from your current pets. Training is a little easier, but every pet is different.

I know what you mean. Our lab is about 2.5 yrs old now, such a loving dog. I know he'd love a playmate (hubby keeps saying that our cat doesn't count!). :lmao: When the time is right we'll get another dog, and it will be from a rescue group, but it won't be for a while.

I can't wait to hear how your wife reacts if this all works out for you. Or did you slip up and mention it to her last night?

Very hard decision

Tiff,
Please except my apology.

After some serious thinking and discussions with the wife (who is all for it) I have decided that I have to pass on adopting Zoey
I don’t think I can devote enough time and attention that every pup needs.

I’m sorry for opening up my mouth so quickly, before thinking.
I know there are others out there that would love to adopt her.
So would someone else please adopt Zoey?

I will ask around at work and our neighborhood.

Everything will work out I'm sure. If anyone knows of anybody interested please let me know.
